Primrose School of East Cobb at Paper Mill is an accredited daycare located in the Marietta area that offers infant, toddler, preschool and pre-kindergarten programs. For over 40 years Primrose preschools has been a trusted household name and a nationally recognized daycare provider committed to forging a path that leads to a brighter future for all children.
We couldn’t have had a better experience with Primrose on Paper Mill. When our shy little 3yo needed a nurturing/patient set of teachers, that’s exactly who was there to help him get used to preschool. And when that same kid was ready to come out of his shell, he got a fun loving teacher who helped him become so outgoing and fun with an eagerness for learning. He’s grown so much from his time there. The admins and teachers there are buttoned up. It feels safe and secure. The curriculum is programmed nationwide so it’s according to standards of the most strict states. And you can see the results in the progress from the kids. Highly recommend!

We absolutely adore Primrose at Paper Mill! We have been enrolled since 2022, and we've been consistently happy with the exceptional teachers, management, and education. My oldest is 4 and is already way ahead of the curve—she absolutely loves learning, thanks to the amazing teachers that she has had. The teachers and staff greet every student by name, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. We love the structure Primrose provides as well as the communication from the administration. We also appreciate the regular photos and updates we get throughout the day! We feel grateful to have found such a wonderful school for our children!

We had two of our children spend a total of 6 years at this Primrose. Everything was wonderful the entire time until our youngest moved up to a new class. As a toddler he's prone to be obstinate and have big emotions, but very much within the realm of normal toddler behavior. His teacher rigidly applied inflexible rules and things turned south quickly. At their urging we brought in THREE occupational therapists to work with our son. After two weeks of working with him, Primrose kicked out our son for hitting another child -- despite our son coming home with bad bite marks for 2+ plus weeks a few months earlier. They had an utterly unrealistic time frame for expecting a toddler to make changes. Easily half of the notes we received about our child's behavior stemmed from scenarios where the teacher failed to effectively handle the situation or where the teacher failed to prevent basic, foreseeable problems from arising.
After six years and without any warning whatsoever, despite our clear and persistent attempts to adopt the recommendations of the school, our child was kicked out for an instance no worse than what he repeatedly suffered a short time prior. And the teacher REPEATEDLY refused to implement any of the occupational therapists' recommendations. She had no interested at all in proactively helping our child.
Primrose CAN BE a good school so long as your child fits within the narrow behavior patterns they're equipped and trained to deal with. This school is absolutely not inclusive or accommodating of a wide range of toddler behavior -- and the experience is dictated by the teacher's ability and interest in working with your child.
If your child is an angel, then Primrose should work out. If your toddler behaves within a wider spectrum of toddler conduct, then Primrose is impatient, ineffective, disinterested, counterproductive, and uncaring.
Many of the people we interacted with were absolutely wonderful. But just enough, including the teacher in question, were incompetent enough that it resulted in a shockingly disappointing outcome. I absolutely would not recommend this school to anyone.
