My husband graduated from here and this place is a joke. First off, the cost is a total rip off. It's the same cost as a bachelor's degree to walk out with a certificate... They are a for-profit establishment and there is no doubt about it. Second, they sell a pack of lies at orientation talking about six figure salaries and all of the demand for A&P mechanics which is only true if you have years worth of experience already. Last and most unfortunately, is that once you graduate, you are completely on your own in every respect. If you want to go $75,000+ in debt for a piece of printer paper while teaching yourself most of the material and then having to do all of the leg work for networking and finding a proctor to take your licensing exam with because it's a total run around, then go for it! Go to Chattahoochee Technical College instead. They are much better equipped academically and professionally.

My experience at the Aviation Institute of Maintenance Duluth campus has been very disappointing. The school advertises strong training and career opportunities, but the reality is far different. The administration higher ups make changes on a whim and tell staff the day of the same time to implement with the student body leaving the instructors stranded trying to break down the new school formatting. Communication is poor with the registrar and front desk personnel, and students don’t get the support they need to succeed. Many instructors try their best and truly want the best for their students, but overall the program feels outdated, and more focused on collecting tuition than truly preparing students for the aviation industry. Job placement assistance is minimal for evening shift students and much of what was promised in recruiting never matched the actual experience. I would not recommend AIM to anyone seriously looking for a solid foundation in aviation maintenance

A lot of the complaints I'm seeing come from people that have no idea what they're talking about. An A&P won't magically get you a job. Their financial aid department has done nothing but good things for me and my family. Everything has been the most smooth process possible. I've already had 10 years of Maintenance experience prior to this (military) so I can't speak from a complete newbie's perspective, but the school is enough to get you what you need and the instructors are fantastic. Oh, and there is a hangar with aircraft at this school. Don't listen to comments saying there aren't.
