  Quirky flight school with a good fleet. Everyone is nice and welcoming, but the front desk won’t give you a price list for their fleet (many quirks like that). Everyone is focused on their way of doing things instead of focusing on the customer. Second lesson got overcharged instructor time, and the owner tried to explain it away with tangential info instead of owning the mistake. Because of that and the significant time that’s wasted on getting in/out of the airspace, decided to switch to a different school.

  My discovery flight with John Radun was nothing short of amazing. He is very knowledgeable and answered all my questions in depth. The front office is also very welcoming and made my first visit a memorable one .

  My husband loved his first experience flying a plane. And I enjoyed the flight as well! Thank you to Megan who gave excellent information, instruction, and encouragement. We were very impressed and expect to see her flying commercial flights on one of our future vacations. Thank you The Pilot Place and thank you Megan!

  With a lot of shady flight schools in Florida I’ll say The Pilot Place is top notch. The instructors seemed to be safely oriented and are dedicated to your success. Had the pleasure of meeting Randall who is the owner and seemed like a hard working individual that is on a mission to making his flight school a success. If you’re in the Sarasota area stop by and schedule a flight.

  Great Flight school with good planes! If you don't own a plane and looking to make that fun trip with family or friends then look at the Diamond DA40 at the Pilot Place. Plane has a very good cruise speed, good on fuel and long range. My wife and I took it to Nashville then Destin and back to Sarasota. What a fun time. You don't need to own a plane to make memories you wont forget! I have flown almost all their planes. Did my training on the 172 planes and spent a lot of fun flying in the two seat sport cruiser!
