  My first visit-Walk In Service-$8, tip $20 Today, I went to the school for a haircut for my son. I signed-in. There were 2 clients waiting ahead of us.After about 30-40mintues , two regular clients signed in and signed in and were serviced within 10 minutes. I know they did not have appts because they were asked. Shortly after, my son’s name was called and a gentleman said “that me”. I quickly asked if they called my sons name, the owner stated yes but the gentleman was seated already. The owner stated it’s okay we will get someone for your son. After an additional 20 mins, my son was serviced. My son doesn’t like getting his hair combed, so the student had to take her time to comb through his hair. I appreciated that. My son’s hair is curly and so it tangles easily. The owner made a remark like “well he needs to cut it if he doesn’t like it combed.” My son is 5, so this is somewhat expected that a child doesn’t like there hair combed. In the end the hair was cut too low. While I appreciate the student taking her time. I don’t appreciate the owners lack of apology for the extra wait and allowing us to be skipped by other customers. I will NEVER bring my money back here, even if it’s free. We only visited this establishment due to proximity of our home and the need of a haircut for an upcoming event. I’m looking forward to paying my son’s regular haircut fee and being serviced by his regular barber.

  Fantastic. For a year I've been a customer at First Coast Barber that I've a few friends. JEFF and Mss. POWEL. The students work with an extraordinary passion developing their individual talents like artist painting on a canvas. Merry Christmas & Happy New Year to First Coast Barber of Jacksonville.

  Great experience, that’s coming from a former student. The Barber industry consists of continued education but this school establishes a strong foundation to begin building up your knowledge and understanding of the craft. One of the best decisions I ever made was enrolling into this school.
