  Shelton KinderCare has been amazing for my now 4yr old! The teachers made her transition into daycare so much easier. They have been caring and compassionate. My daughter loves everyone at KinderCare. She’s been attending KinderCare Shelton for over a year. They also helped through her potty training and were excellent support for her. Everyone who works there is patient and genuinely cares about each child that attends.

  When we started at KinderCare in 2013, we were pleased with the center overall, as it provided a clean, safe, caring learning environment, and the teachers our child had genuinely seemed to enjoy their time with the children. Over the years, the center has gone downhill. Many of the truly passionate teachers have left the center (although a few do remain who seem to have the childrens' best interests at heart), and the cleanliness of the facility is lacking. The center is disorganized and poorly-managed, and completely lacks any sort of welcoming feel. On numerous occasions, no one knew where exactly my child was at pick-up time; I would be redirected to 3 different classrooms, or told "I'm not sure where he is/I think he's in (classroom name)/try checking..." What finally pushed us to leave was learning that they had done away with their Pre-K program (but neglected to inform parents, instead presenting a new learning format under the guise of creating multi-age classrooms). KinderCare has become more of a babysitting service/all-day playdate than a learning center, and I would never recommend this center.

  This place is amazing we started our son there in Aug 2018 and it has been nothing but amazing he started in the twos with Mrs. Flore and she was the only teacher my son would go to and ended up transitioning into the multiage room with Mrs Jeanette and she is one of the best things that has ever happened to us. Jayden loves her and she has gotten him so far that even the doctors have noticed and love the change in him he was way more shy and not very talkative but that has changed and he holds a conversation so well. He has developed so well and the biggest thing is I feel that he is safe there everyday and honestly loved. Every morning and afternoon his teacher gives him a hug To start and end his day! The other thing people don’t really notice sometimes is the people greeting you every morning normally it’s hi or bye with people in other places but between Mrs. Kirsten and Mrs. Carlin everyday I talk to them and they ask how everyone is and my day and actually take time to get to know me and my family. I had moved recently and the drive to Kindercare Shelton from my home is about 25 min a little long but it’s still worth it, so much so, that next year we will be taking our son back there and requesting Mrs. Jeanette for him and also starting our daughter there as well. The price pays for itself in peace of mind and sanity! Thank you Kindercare for all that you do!
