We’ve been part of the Primrose Family since Spring 2022 and have loved watching our girls (4 and 2) grow into confident, curious, and independent little girls thanks to the incredible teachers and staff at PSWG. We feel extremely lucky our girls have been able to thrive in a clean, safe, enriching environment, it feels like a home away from home. Beyond the meaningful growth we’ve seen in our girls, we’ve also built lasting friendships and a wonderful community. We could not be more pleased to be part of the Primrose family!

We are so grateful for the wonderful experience our son Arad has had at Primrose School of Willowglen. From the moment we first stepped through the door, we knew that Primrose was a special place. The Primrose family has been so supportive and welcoming. The parent community is active and engaged, and the teachers are truly dedicated to providing a nurturing and educational environment for our children. Our son has thrived at Primrose. He has made many friends, and he has developed a love for learning. We know that he is in good hands. We would like to thank the entire Primrose family for making our experience so positive. We are truly grateful for the role that Primrose has played in our son development.

This school lacks consistent and prompt interventions for dealing with bullies / kids that display repeated aggressive behavior because they do not support their teachers enough in the classroom. It takes months to resolve issues with aggressive children. They also do not send home incident reports, at least not for the last 3 years. I would recommend literally anywhere except here. Edited to add: Primrose School of Willow Glen had strictly been using redirection since we enrolled opening year. Positive disciple and its basic principles where not part of the structure until June 1st 2023. This was ONLY enacted after veteran parents were fed up and took escalated action while providing repeated documentation and overwhelming proof of incidents. There was no pro-active action by the school to change the policies spontaneously. It’s disappointing to see a school be so painfully aware of a problem, not take meaningful action to correct it then rely on parents to fix it.

Primrose School is a franchise and was named as one of the top franchises in the nation by Forbes Magazine. Many are popping up across the U.S. because they offer a great environment, a balanced learning program, and so much more. There are things offered by Primrose that you will not find at other preschools.... Parents can see the curriculum, meals and activities via Tadpoles (an app that allows teachers and the school to communicate with them) every day! Pictures of the children involved in their daily routine are sent out regularly. Also - the activities of the day are led by a group of puppets. Billy Duck leads the music. Molly the Cow loves math. Peanut the Pony teaches about letters and their sounds. Mia Mouse gets the children moving during P.E. time and so forth. However, the best thing about these puppets is that each month, one of them teaches the children an important virtue. Respect, Honesty, Citizenship and so many more. Primrose of Willow Glen is very involved in giving back to the community. Mr. Jackie, the Director, is at the heart of this. The children are taught how important it is to share with others who are not as fortunate as themselves. There are food drives, toy drives and visits to senior centers - and it's beautiful! This school also has chef prepared meals, special visits by authors, magicians and scientists, a beautiful facility, a dedicated leadership team, loving teachers and the list goes on and on!

What impressed us when we began really looking at programs was that Primrose of Willow Glen was a school first...daycare second. There was a curriculum, an educational and development plan, and trained, caring and skilled professionals to take those plans and personalize them for the kids in the rooms. We toured several other facilities in the San Jose area and I always left with more questions than answers. Don't get me wrong...I'm not trying to breed an overachiever. But it was really important to us that our child wasn't just at the baby sitter all day...We wanted to know that there was a plan and attention being paid on development. Yes, the facility and grounds are really wonderful. The ownership team has spared no expense to build a clean, secure, fun and welcoming environment. You can easily see that in photos. What is harder to recognize are the people inside that building. At the helm of all of this is Mr. Jackie. If you choose to tour the school, hang out by the front desk for a bit. What you will instantly notice is that the kids in the school all RUN into Mr. Jackie's office to say hi or madly knock on his window just to get a wave and a smile. The second thing you will note is that no matter what Mr. Jackie is up to, he will always stop and engage with each and every child. These kids BEAM with pride when they share their day's story with him They don't just like him, they LOVE him. And he clearly loves them. Every time we have asked for time to ask questions or discuss events, he has always cleared his schedule and had open, honest, and frank conversations with us...sometimes, not always what we WANT to hear...but ALWAYS what we NEED to hear. He is clearly a very trained and skilled educator who loves what he does...and it shows. Next up would be the teachers. We have now cycled up through three classrooms starting as parents in the infant room. These are the most caring, wonderful and attentive people I could ever dream would be charged with taking care of my child. This is a team of friendly, fun, dedicated, attentive and observant teachers and caregivers who are as ready to course-correct and teach as they are to hug and snuggle. It is magic to see my child RUN into the classroom...even when my own heart breaks because I'm pretty sure she likes them more than me some days. :) Then there is the Operational team. From Ms Bernadine and Ms Aya to Mr Gerry (who I'm fairly certain is the most popular person at school because he makes and delivers all the food...and on banana bread day, I'm tempted to just hang out until that delivery is made!) everyone stops to say hello, is clearly thrilled to see each child, and cares about the role they play in each child's day. We are so grateful to have found Primrose. Where you entrust the care of your child is an insanely important and nerve-wracking decision. Is it too expensive? Is it a diverse community (this was especially important) and will every child and every family be welcome? Is it secure? Is it the BEST? Does it matter? ALL questions I'm sure EVERY parent has wrestled with. For us, in the end, it came down to watching how the KIDS went in and out of school...running, happy and laughing ready to have fun and (hopefully) learn something in the process.
