As parents of a first-born who joined Primrose School of Cupertino at age two and is now preparing to graduate at four, we have experienced firsthand how much the right early environment can shape a child.
We enrolled with the typical anxieties of new parents, especially around major transitions. In Preschool Pathways, Ms. Madhavi and Ms. Komal played a critical role in helping our child move out of diapers. They told us when he was truly ready and supported the transition with structure and reassurance. Their confidence gave us confidence. It was a collaborative process, and it set the tone for our trust in the school.
Academically, his growth has been substantial. In PS1, Ms. Kathryn stood out not only for her teaching but for the care she put into the classroom. She would bring handmade toys for the children and created an environment he genuinely adored. By that stage, he was already reading, which initially surprised us but later felt consistent with the strong academic foundation Primrose builds.
Now in TK, Ms. Cassandra and Ms. Shweta continue to stretch him intellectually, complementing his skills with board games such as chess and encouraging structured thinking. The learning feels intentional and layered rather than rushed.
Physical development has been equally thoughtful. Coach J has sparked his interest in soccer, yoga, and gymnastics. By the time he was three, he already had opinions about which activities he wanted to pursue outside of school. That early exposure matters.
Leadership has reinforced this consistency. Ms. Sima, the Head of School, is hands-on and proactive in communicating with parents. She knows every child personally and remains visibly engaged in daily school life, which creates accountability and trust.
Beyond academics, the culture is well-rounded. Festivals across traditions—Christmas, Diwali, Ramzan, Hanukkah, Lunar New Year—are celebrated thoughtfully. Monthly donation drives introduce the concept of giving. There are meet-and-greets with law enforcement and emergency services, field trips, family potlucks, trunk-or-treats, magic shows, and reptile visits. The environment is structured, but never stagnant.
Even daily routines reflect intention. Meals are cooked fresh on-site, snacks are healthy, and children are encouraged to control their servings and take responsibility. He always talks about the ravioli and goes back for a second serving. The chef, Mr. Jacob, feels like part of the broader educational team.
As he prepares to graduate, the faculty has been proactive in guiding us toward the right next school placement. Primrose has not just prepared him academically. It has shaped his independence, curiosity, and confidence. For our family, it has been a foundational chapter that we value deeply.

We got on the list when I was still pregnant and the school was breaking ground. It's hard to believe it's been four years already.
By then, we'd seen several daycares across two states with our older son, and had a general idea of what to look for. This school exceeded all expectations. We've gotten to experience a whole new level of service.
First, we're happy with the basics, such as the hours, the meal plan and the fact that all supplies are provided. I have to worry about basically nothing. Secondly, the curriculum seems to be very robust and it's well integrated into the organic flow of the day, without feeling like an afterthought or a burden on the child. My son comes back and comments on things that are of elementary school science level, and he's absolutely thriving. What makes this school next level is the profesionalism and care of everyone involved. Details such as all staff knowing my son's name and being very welcoming and polite. The leadership being very attentive and anticipating my needs; at the slightest inquiry, they're going above and beyond to address it and provide solutions in partnership with me. The communication is excellent and multi pronged, and they're continually seeking feedback to improve. But I'm most impressed by the safety, cleanliness and organization of everything. I'm used to things feeling chaotic and dirty in schools, but not in this school. I brought my son for the first time in a new group environment, anticipating that he'll get sick for the first month (comparing to my first son's experience), but he had no such thing. He had fever for maybe a couple of days. I'm sure this is in large part thanks to cleaning schedules and sick protocols at the school. I can't recommend this school highly enough, and I'm sad to think that we'll have to leave one day.
