Our son London has thrived here — the teachers are caring, patient, and truly invested in his development. Every day he’s excited to go, and we can tell how much he’s learning and growing from the activities and structure they provide. Communication is great, and we always feel confident knowing he’s in a safe, nurturing, and happy environment. The entire staff goes above and beyond to make the kids (and parents!) feel supported. Highly recommend to any family looking for a loving place for their little one!

I enrolled my daughter at this KinderCare location for one month in September 2024, and I would not recommend it.
While the front office—especially Alyssa—was professional and helpful, the quality of care in the classroom was disappointing and at times felt neglectful. On multiple occasions when I came to pick up my daughter, she was crying and unattended. This wasn’t a one-off issue—my wife would drop in during the week to breastfeed, and she consistently observed a tense and chaotic environment. Multiple infants were always crying, while the staff seemed overwhelmed.
I also witnessed staff using phones to distract or pacify children, which raised further concerns. The room staff—aside from the lead teacher—changed frequently, and many seemed either very young or lacking experience. This constant turnover left me feeling uneasy about their ability to reliably care for or even feed my daughter.
One particularly troubling issue was that her bottles would come back nearly full day after day. When I raised this with the infant room lead, her response was dismissive: “She just doesn’t drink.” There was no reassurance, no collaborative problem-solving—just indifference. For caregivers entrusted with infant health and development, this was deeply concerning.
This location felt more like a high-turnover corporate daycare than a healthy environment for children. It appears to prioritize maximizing state mandated child-to-staff ratios over providing quality care, leading to burnout among employees and subpar attention to the kids.
I don’t place full blame on the staff—it’s clear the system they work within is flawed. But for the well-being of your child, I strongly suggest finding a center that genuinely cares. Unfortunately, this is not that place.
I love Kindercare Sorrento Valley. The teachers are amazing with our infant son. They provide so much love, learning, and new experiences that I would have never thought of doing. They help him develop and work on his motor skills, his taste buds by trying new foods, and socially by playing with the other kiddos. They broaden our sons horizons intellectually and physically and we couldn't have asked for a better daycare :)
