Fusion Academy in San Diego, CA opened in 2016 as Fusion’s 32nd campus nationwide. Fusion San Diego is a private school where classes are one-to-one: one student and one teacher per classroom. I was there for two years, and it was the most life changing, impactful two years of my life. I can honestly say Fusion is why I’m in college now. I formed such incredible relationships with all the staff, mostly the teachers I had. They changed my life and helped me get back on my feet when I was struggling as a student, athlete, and daughter. I have carried on not only the information, but the tools, systems, habits and lessons into my college, athletic and professional career. My parents say it’s the best, most rewarding financial investment they ever made with me, worth every penny, and I am forever grateful to them for that. Often learning disabilities, mental or life struggles, and creative minds struggle to find their place and succeed in the classroom. Fusion is the solution for anyone that feels out of place inside or outside of the classroom. Not only do you learn the general education everyone else does, but you learn it in a way that WORKS FOR YOU. You are also given the gift of freedom to explore your creative mind, which is (in my opinion), one of the most healing and productive aspects of education, which is often neglected and devalued by the traditional school system. Our world and society is in dire need of creative minds. HUGE shoutout to my teachers, they taught me above and beyond the contents of a text book. They are tough, yet understanding, will hold you accountable, yet have compassion for every student. They don’t give you the answers, they show you how to figure them out. They prepare you for the real world without breaking you. And they are very professional, but so fun. I will never be able to thank my teachers at Fusion enough for teaching me it’s OKAY to think differently, and for showing me there is more than one path to inner peace, stability, happiness and success. Fusion helped me find MY path.
