  We enrolled our son in music camp this summer and, unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. The instructors and office staff did not provide a warm or welcoming environment and often appeared unprepared for class, sometimes arriving from the parking lot right at the start of the session. Much of the time was spent on coloring printed worksheets from the internet rather than engaging in meaningful musical instruction, and our son only had limited opportunities to play larger instruments. The end-of-camp performance was incredibly underwhelming and depressing. We were so excited to come watch our son perform, but instead got to see low energy, lack of excitement, and was overall missing the love of music. It was like a duty they needed to accomplish and be done with. Right after my son performed his class left and I walked into his classroom to ask why they weren't watching the other performances, and I was told they had already been watching them all day and they were all tired. This was strange for my son as he has always loved watching people perform. You could tell he wanted to go home. I shared feedback right after the program, but no one has followed up. Most concerning, the experience has left our son with a negative impression of music, which is the opposite of what we had hoped for. Overall, we would not recommend this camp or the school.

  The variety of music and instruments was fantastic but most importantly; the staff was kind, patient and caring. My son loved camp so much!

  Awesome experience for my 9 year old son and a refreshing change from traditional piano lessons with a cool young rock band vibe!

  My son loved Rock City summer camp! Ms. Yukie and Ms. Allison are wonderful teachers who are extremely patient and kind. They were also able to engage the children in a way that made music fun. My son often pulled out instruments to explore at home after classes. We also appreciated Ms. Fresas and the wonderfully warm staff! We highly recommend Bach to Rock for any child looking for a fun musical experience.
