Downey United Methodist Preschool began in 1965 with one director and a single teacher. The simple idea of beginning each new day with love and understanding has grown into four classrooms, five mornings a week. Our purpose is to provide children a loving environment where they may grow, develop, learn and be equipped for future education. The program is designed to meet the developmental needs of young children 2 1/2-5 years of age. It provides experiences that enrich and enhance each child's cognitive, language, social, emotional, physical and creative development.
