I typically don’t write reviews, and even when I do, I usually wait until after several visits before sharing my experience. That said, the plumbers and customer service team at Childers Air Plumbing & Electric have earned this 5-star review.
They’ve visited my mom’s home multiple times for both plumbing and gas line repairs, and each experience has been outstanding.
They showed up ready to work in difficult conditions—including cold rain and freezing snow—and still worked efficiently, safely, with great attention to detail, and with consistently positive attitudes. They didn’t hesitate to enter a home that’s very much a work in progress, nor did they hesitate to crawl under the porch into a less-than-pleasant crawl space. (The house is older and has dealt with gas leaks, occasional water leaks, a recent frozen pipe burst, and some truly awful old carpet that needed to be replaced years ago.)
During a major gas line repair, they replaced the entire pipeline from the front yard to the back yard and into the home. In addition, during the boiler room portion of the repair, they replaced a defective part three separate times to ensure everything was done properly and safely. They also had multiple crew members on site during this multi-day process, which helped move the work along efficiently while maintaining a very high standard of care. That level of accountability and commitment to doing the job right is deeply appreciated.
These water and gas issues left us without heat and water for days during sub-zero temperatures. Each time, they expedited the process as much as they could, got someone on site quickly, and worked hard to get everything back up and running as soon as possible. These were incredibly stressful situations, but working with this team ensured everything was handled with urgency, professionalism, and clear communication throughout.
Over the course of these four or five visits, I’ve met at least five different crew members as well as a supervisor, and I had the opportunity to speak with each of them. Every person was kind, polite, professional, and extremely helpful. It really speaks to the company as a whole when everyone you interact with is consistent in their attitude, knowledge, and willingness to help. As an added bonus, I’ve learned a good deal about maintaining an older home through conversations with Josh, Dustin, Dakota, and Julius. Customer service representative Max, among others, have been a big help to get me scheduled.
I highly recommend this company to anyone in need of reliable plumbing or gas line work, and I absolutely plan to use them again in the future. It’s wonderful to find a team this dependable, thorough, and genuinely pleasant to work with. Hopefully I can round the corner from disaster response and move towards preventative/regular maintenance.

Dallas arrived on time and was ready to work. He assessed the situation, identified what needed to be done, and got to the task without hesitation. His work was thorough and he cleaned up afterwards. It’s been several days now since he was here and everything is functioning perfectly. Dallas remained polite, professional, and he listened to my concerns and answered my questions. Although he works for you, if I were in this business, or he were in mine, I would seek him out and offer him employment, because I know excellence when I see it…. I recommend you offer him a raise, because this young man will likely be part of your competition someday. Thanks to Childers as well for their communication, and prompt response.
