- DRDave RFeb 16, 20261.0You must never rent from here. I am a licensed contractor, I rented a walk behind a cement saw that would give you shocks as soon as you turned it on. Very dangerous. After fixing it ( my electrician) the walk behind cement saw that constantly tripped its own breaker. I was told I needed a generator because the house power wasn't sufficient. 45 mns later that tripped too. I called and said to come get it. They did and still charged me for the generator, and the walk behind saw. It took 3 days to complete the floor sawing and I had to use a small hand saw. I was charged $1400.4. Rent here if you want to rent dangerous equipment and be charged for equipment that does not work. Very unprofessional.

We were charged over $12,000, hit with unexplained fees, and repeatedly told we owed more with no clear explanation. We spoke to multiple people, none of whom could give consistent answers, and were even threatened with collections. To top it off, Sunbelt removed paid equipment from an active job site and now wants to charge additional drop fees to return it. Disorganized billing, poor communication, horribly rude customer service and zero accountability Would recommend using any other location or company.

What do I need to rent a tool?
All you need is your driver’s license or a government-issued photo ID and a credit or debit card to pay for the rental upfront. No extra deposit is required.

Is a deposit required for a reservation?
For customers without a line of credit, Sunbelt Rentals does not require a deposit to rent tools and equipment. However, you will be asked for payment information when you make your reservation. Your credit or debit card will not be charged for the rental period (one ((1)) day minimum) until you pick up the equipment.
For Credit Customers, we will secure a deposit for your reservation. This deposit will be held within your account until the rental equipment is returned and the contract closed. Apply for a credit account here.
If your project is quick and you only need the equipment for a few hours, Sunbelt Rentals does offer a Rapid Return rate. Return the equipment within four (4) hours of the pickup time and we will refund the difference of the Rapid Return rate. Rates will vary based on product. What if I need to keep my equipment longer?
If you need assistance, please contact the branch of the equipment rental and they can extend the rental for you. When you keep the equipment longer, we will add the additional time and charges to your contract and credit card. Please refer to the rental contract, where the day, week and 4-week rates are shown for each piece of tool and equipment.
Can I return rented equipment at any location?
Typically, equipment should be returned to the same location where you initially rented it. If you need to return it to a different location, please contact the store where you rented the equipment for guidance. It’s advisable to call ahead so we can assist you in finding a convenient alternative location for your return. Your convenience is our priority.
What is the cost for the delivery of equipment to my location?
The delivery charge is calculated based on the category and class of equipment, the location of the rental location, the distance of the project site from the rental location.
Can I get tools and equipment delivered to me?
Yes, Sunbelt Rentals offers convenient delivery options from our extensive network of locations for a reasonable fee. When making a reservation, simply select the delivery option. During the reservation process, you can specify the delivery drop-off date and time, as well as your estimated equipment pickup date. The estimate is for our planning purposes and not a final date.
To initiate our equipment pickup service, you must confirm the end of your rental via the app or by phone. Additionally, if you have specific delivery instructions or prefer a designated contact person for coordination, please include those details when submitting your reservation.
For businesses utilizing a commercial credit account, associated delivery and pickup fees will be reflected in your invoice.
To receive notifications about your delivery, adjust your settings in your account to receive reminders and updates related to your delivery and pickup.
What happens if a tool breaks or quits working while I am renting it?
Sunbelt Rentals inspects and services each piece of equipment prior to each rental and should be in good working order. If you experience problems with the tool while renting it, please go to the specific Equipment Detail page within the reservation to request service. If you need additional assistance, please contact the branch of the equipment rental and they can arrange for next steps or a replacement. If you want to have protection in the event of damage, Sunbelt Rentals offers a Rental Protection Plan (RPP), which can be purchased at the start of your rental.
