  We will never use another contractor if we can use Loren Martin—he is hands down the BEST CONTRACTOR we’ve ever worked with anywhere (and we’ve lived all over the country). I also have 34 years of construction experience myself, so I know the industry very well, and that makes me appreciate even more the HONESTY, QUALITY, and PROFESSIONALISM Martin Construction brings. We first hired them for drywall during our kitchen remodel and were so impressed that we brought them back after a major hail storm required extensive repairs to our home. After meeting with several contractors who pushed unnecessary work, we chose to wait for Martin because of their INTEGRITY—and we’re so glad we did. Their PRICING is always COMPETITIVE, they use only HIGH-QUALITY MATERIALS, and each time the entire project was COMPLETED AHEAD OF SCHEDULE AND WITHIN BUDGET, with UNEXPECTED ISSUES HANDLED SMOOTHLY.   I am working on opening up my business and contacting Martin Construction for a consultation. They came out to the location to see the building I plan on renovating before committing to anything and I am happy I did! These guys are pros and know their stuff. What I liked most is that they didnt just ask what I wanted to do, they asked about my business and how it will operate to understand what I am really looking for. They gave some great advice and I look forward to working with them soon to begin building my business!

  Five star review: Martin Construction Our home, like many in Platteville, took a beating in the April/2025 hailstorm. Hailstones measuring 2.5" destroyed roofs, siding, broke windshields and windows and pummeled cars not under cover. This was immediately followed by a parade of "storm-chasing" roof & siding contractors ringing the doorbell. Fortunately, we checked the reputation of local firms and talked with friends. Both approaches led us to Martin Constuction. Now I can speak from experience. Loren brings years of experience, a very thorough approach to evaluation, a well-reasoned basis for recommendations, excellent communication skills, a strong commitment to quality materials and craftsmanship, and outstanding customer service. Martin Construction delivered on every aspect of their construction services, including resolving negotiations with our insurance company. The insurance estimator had omitted key considerations amounting to thousands of dollars for both the roof and siding repairs. The day of the roof repair, rain was slated for that night. On a sweltering August day, the crew worked from 6:00 am straight through to 9:00 pm to ensure job completion, including cleanup. The work was meticulous, with Loren personally checking and supervising the craftsmanship. The summer heat allowed the roof to "settle", and siding was replaced with equal care a couple months later. In performing both repairs, the workmen were carefully protective of the gardens and landscaping near the house. Our home is not only restored, but improved by the care and quality of craftsmanship delivered by Martin Construction.
