⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I had a great experience with Midwest Heating & Cooling. I contacted four different HVAC companies for information and quotes on duct cleaning and sanitation, and Darla from Midwest was the only one who got back to me right away. She answered all of my questions thoroughly, explained the process clearly, and was very upfront about pricing. They were reasonably priced and even offered a special discount for duct work booked in February, which was a nice bonus.
Scheduling was quick and easy. On the day of service, the technician, Nathan, called when he was on his way and arrived right on time. He was polite, professional, and very informative, and he did an awesome job. He also took the time to be sweet to my dog, which definitely earned extra points.
Nathan provided before-and-after photos of the ducts so I could actually see the results of the work, which I really appreciated. Everything was completed exactly as quoted — no surprise fees or hidden costs. I’m very satisfied with the results and would absolutely recommend Midwest Heating & Cooling. I’ll definitely be using them again in the future.
A couple of weeks ago I returned home from a ski trip and found that my furnace had shut down and I had no heat. I cycled the breaker and the furnace restarted, however I figured I should get it checked out before continuing to use it. I called Midwest on Friday as I wanted to get it checked out before the weekend and they said they could send out a technician in the afternoon.
The technician said I had a cracked heat exchanger and that even though the part was covered under warranty it would cost $1400 to repair and that you might be better off replacing it and the air conditioner as well. He did not check to see if there was CO in the airstream before turning the power, gas and gas control valve switch off - leaving me without heat for the whole weekend!
Their salesman arrived that afternoon and gave me quotes to replace both the furnace and the AC, even though I told him heat was my immediate concern. He said they could not turn the heat back on, but would provide space heaters if I accepted a quote to replace (otherwise a $100 deposit each)!
A different company came out on Monday, gave me a better furnace replacement and repair quote, confirmed the AC didn’t need replacement, restarted my furnace at no charge, and verified CO levels were safe so I could use it until it was replaced later in the week.
I felt Midwest was trying to freeze me into making a decision over the weekend and pressuring me to get equipment I didn't want. I notified Midwest three times that I went with a different option and yet received daily calls, texts, and emails!
Midwest Heating and Cooling technician came to service our furnace on January 31,2026, refused to service our furnace. The technician told us that we needed to rebuild or replace our furnace, and it couldn’t be bleed. The technician went out to his van, didn’t tell me he was waiting for a senior technician, to come. The senior technician confirmed that the furnace wasn’t fixable. They needed to order parts we paid the service fee. Also the first technician locked himself inside the back of his van called and asked my wife if she could come unlock his van door he locked himself inside the back of his van. I was at work when all of this took place. He called another company they came out today February 4,2026 it took less than an hour to bleed the furnace and restart it. We were in a cold house unnecessarily, we had to pay to have our dogs in doggy daycare. Midwest Heating and Cooling refused to bleed and restart but instead gave us a quote for a rebuild furnace $3,500 maybe more. 5 extra days in the cold when there wasn’t anything wrong with our furnace. Avoid this company they are not loyal to their customers they saw opportunity and desperation, which they misunderstood for uncomfortable. My family and I deserved better we paid for a service that was not rendered they took advantage because it was so cold, we paid them and another company, plus doggy daycare care fees that could all have been avoided. I would not recommend this company to anyone, they are not worth the money, time or risk.

My wife and I were out of country and were notified that our furnace had died when our state was suffering subzero temps. I contacted Bobby Gallegos, from Midwest heating and cooling, who dropped everything, on a weekend day, went to my home and made all the arrangements and set up the new furnace install. Garrett wisby, the technician, arrived early the next day to install and within 3 hrs, my home was well on its way to being warm again, All while we were in Mexico on vacation. Absolutely fabulous trustworthy people to deal with. Thankyou for saving our vacation.

Short review: Get a second opinion before believing anything they tell you or risk getting ripped off.
We had some from Midwest come out to take a look at my Furnace that stopped working right before Christmas. They got someone out in that evening I reached out, and after looking at it, they said the heat exchanger was all sorts of beatup and cracked. They showed me what it looked like on their camera, but couldn't really tell due to it being black and white, and low quality. They then started to tell us it wasn't worth just fixing the heat exchanger and we should replace the whole furnace...the house is just over a year old...so it didn't seem right.
After talking to the initial installer who couldn't make it out, we had a second company come and look at it who has a better camera and they said it was fine, just had some rust spots and no cracks. They then checked the heat sensor switch and it was just stuck open. Which they fixed, easily and recommended we get a new one in case it gets stuck again. Which was a $40 part. Even though we told Midwest we were told that part could been the problem as well according fo the initial installer they never looked at it. So glad we got a second opinion as the two options Midwest offered were replace heat exchanger for around $4000 and risk it going bad again and needing it to be replaced again, or replace the whole furnace.
So not only did they try to up sell us to replace an already new furnace, not fix the issue that was an easy fix leaving our heat off in the middle of winter. They then still charged us for their visit and charged us for off hours since it was over the weekend costing us $336.56 plus an extra large utility bill for running electric heaters and gas fireplace to keep warm for multiple days.
