  I have had a broken window for about four months. It won’t move, open or anything. I called and spoke with someone who took down my info and saw my 20+ year history as a customer with over 17 windows purchased and said the repair tech would reach out to me by the next day. Nothing. Then, I call three more times, and each time no live person but a auto attendant directed me to an extension for repairs and service and I again left my information and still NOTHING. NOT ONE CALL BACK IN 3+ MONTHS. I even offered to pay to get the window fixed (which is one of the new more recent windows which should still be under warranty). NOTHING. Now this isn’t the first time I’ve had problems with the service from Stanek Windows Brand by Great Day Improvements LLC. I have had their service techs out to our house at least three or four times over the past 20 years because the windows were not installed properly or a spring broke, or a counterweight snapped or similar. Each time Stanek refused to honor their lifetime warranty and charged me a minimum of $150. What makes it even worse is that the windows would quickly break usually within six months after the repair again. The last time a tech was here he was very rude, condescending, and blaming us for the faulty windows, and telling us that he no longer had any more parts. He said he would never be able to come back again because they no longer make the parts. Perhaps that’s why they haven’t returned my phone calls. Honestly, the Wisconsin state consumer protection agency should really investigate this company for misleading and fraudulent business practices.

  We had a patio door installed a number of years ago by Stanek - with a lifetime warranty (no longer honored by this new company). WE are having issues with the door and had an appointment for them to inspect it and they cancelled. We have been calling for a month and no response. Now the door will not even open which is a safety hazard and we can't even get the courtesy of a return call. WARNING - May be good at sales - poor at SERVICE.

  Josh did a great job, and saved me money by repairing my broken screen frame instead of needing to replace it! Timely, courteous, professional service. Hope to not need repairs again anytime soon, but I know when I do I’ll be in good hands!

  A subcontractor came to our condominium today to install Stanek windows on the fourth floor. The windows were sold to the owner by Stanek representative Dwight Zoellner. I do not know if Mr. Zoellner works out of the West Allis store. The first and most egregious action was that of THROWING both a patio door screen and a patio door frame off of a fourth floor balcony into a fenced yard. The yard is used by owners and their pets on a regular daily basis. There was no notice verbal or otherwise before the debris was launched into the yard. On their way down four floors into the yard both items hit the communication lines which run through the yard. Two owners witnessed the dangerous launch. During the remainder of the visit the contractors left supplies and garbage in the Common Area hallways leaned against walls and strewn on floors. It appears that Stanek only cares about selling windows NOT about providing quality trades people for installation.
