Our teen center suffered severe hail damage to four roof levels, a window, and a door. A prompt and dedicated team responded quickly, meeting with our insurance representative, inspectors, and the City of Edgerton to guide us through the entire process. The workers were courteous, professional, and explained each step during the tear-off and replacement phases. They provided all necessary heavy equipment, such as cranes and dumpsters, and ensured the site was cleaned up at the end of each day. Despite the enormity of the project, our non-profit organization experienced an excellent process from start to finish. We highly recommend A- Team Construction for their expertise and exceptional service!

I am a disabled veteran, and I had some wind damage done to the roof of my home.
I lost some soffit and some trim and part of my flat roof was chewed up a little bit, but because of my recent heart surgery, I was unable to get to a top of a ladder to fix this. I reached out to some local roofing companies one actually said they would replace the missing pieces if they could be replaced all of the soffit. I found and had the missing pieces. I was just unable to put them back in. I talked to Travis at a team construction. I noticed their advertisement on Facebook Travis came immediately and assessed the situation, drew up the order and had Brad come up almost immediately to fix the problem. Brad came who has been with A team construction for quite some time, and it was a pleasure talking to him he was such a professional. So special thank you to Travis and Brad and all of the A-Team personnel for taking care of a problem that I just could not handle. it’s good to know there is a company like this left in our community who will reach out and help a someone in need . If you have a roofing problem or need any construction.
please contact A-Team construction you will be glad that you did.
Frequently Asked Questions About A-Team Construction
What are the common signs of roof damage?
Look for shingles that are cracked, curled, or completely missing. Check your ceilings and walls for water stains or signs of leaking, especially after heavy rain. A sagging or uneven roof can indicate structural problems. Excessive growth can retain moisture and cause damage to the roofing materials. In colder climates, ice dams can form at the eaves, leading to leaks and water damage.
How often should I have my roof inspected?
It's generally recommended to have your roof inspected at least once a year. However, there are a few additional circumstances when you might want to schedule an inspection. If your area experiences heavy storms, high winds, or hail, it’s a good idea to have your roof checked for damage. Before Selling or Buying a Home, After 20 Years: For older roofs, consider more frequent inspections, as materials can degrade over time.
What factors affect the cost of roof replacement?
The cost of roof replacement can vary widely based on several factors. The larger the roof, the more materials and labor are needed, increasing the overall cost. Different roofing materials have varying costs. Asphalt shingles are typically less expensive than metal, tile, or slate. Existing Roof Condition: If the old roof needs to be removed or if there’s significant underlying damage (like rot or mold), this can add to the cost. Additional Features: If your roof has features like skylights, chimneys, or complicated designs, these can increase labor and material costs.
Do I need to replace the entire roof? Can I repair specific sections?
Whether you need to replace the entire roof or can repair specific sections depends on the extent of the damage and the overall condition of the roof. If only a small area is damaged (like a few shingles), repairs may be sufficient. However, if there are widespread issues, a full replacement might be more cost-effective in the long run. If your roof is nearing the end of its lifespan (generally around 20-25 years for asphalt shingles), it might be better to replace it rather than invest in repairs. If repairs reveal underlying problems (like rot or structural damage), you may need to consider a full replacement.
The time it takes for a roof replacement or repair can vary based on several factors, but here are some general estimates.
• Roof Replacement: Typically, a complete replacement can take about 1 to 3 days, depending on the size of the roof and weather conditions. Metal Roofs may take longer, usually around 3 to 7 days, due to the complexity of installation may take longer, usually around 3 to 7 days, due to the complexity of installation.
• Roof Repair: Minor repairs, such as replacing a few shingles or fixing flashing, can usually be completed in a few hours to a day. More extensive repairs, like addressing leaks or structural damage, might take 1 to 3 days.
• Factors Affecting Time: Rain, snow, or extreme heat can delay work. Roofs with multiple levels, slopes, or features (like skylights) may require more time. A larger crew can often complete the job faster than a smaller one.
After severe weather damage to your roof, follow these steps.
Check for immediate hazards. Stay clear of downed power lines and avoid walking on the roof if it's unstable. Look for signs of leaks, water stains, or damage in your attic and ceilings. Take clear photos of any visible damage, both inside and outside. This will be helpful for insurance claims. Report the damage as soon as possible. Provide them with your documentation and follow their instructions for filing a claim. Get a qualified roofing contractor to assess the damage. They can provide a detailed estimate for repairs or replacement.
Is it possible to install a new roof over the existing one?
Yes, it is possible to install a new roof over an existing one, but there are important factors to consider. Many local building codes allow one layer of new roofing to be added over an existing layer, but this typically can only be done once. If there's already a layer underneath, a tear-off is usually required. The existing roof must be in good condition. If there are significant issues, such as rotting or severe damage, a tear-off is necessary to address those problems properly.
What are common signs of roof damage to look out for?
Look for cracked, curled, or missing shingles, water stains on ceilings or walls, sagging or uneven roof areas, excessive growth on the roof, and ice dams in colder climates.
How often should I schedule a roof inspection?
It is recommended to have your roof inspected at least once a year, or more often after severe weather, before selling or buying a home, or for roofs older than 20 years.
What factors influence the cost of replacing a roof?
Cost depends on roof size, type of roofing materials, condition of the existing roof, and additional features like skylights or chimneys that may increase labor and materials.
Can I repair specific sections of my roof instead of replacing the entire roof?
Yes, if damage is limited to small areas like a few shingles, repairs may suffice. For widespread or aging roof issues, full replacement might be more cost-effective.
How long does a roof replacement or repair usually take?
Complete roof replacements generally take 1 to 3 days, with metal roofs requiring 3 to 7 days. Minor repairs may take a few hours to a day, while extensive repairs could take 1 to 3 days.
What steps should I take after severe weather damages my roof?
Ensure safety by avoiding hazards, document damage with photos, report to your insurance promptly, and have a qualified roofing contractor assess the damage for repair estimates.
Is installing a new roof over the existing one possible?
Yes, if local codes allow and the existing roof is in good condition with only one layer underneath. Otherwise, a tear-off is needed to address any significant damage properly.
