I have been a Mr Hollands customer for years. They have installed a furnace, central A/C unit, and a whole house generator for me. A week ago we began have voltage fluctuations and flickering lights, electronics rebooting, etc. I had our utility company come and check their electricity input to the house which check out fine. They came into the house and discovered my generator transfer switch was arcing and burning. They suggested I get my generator service team out to fix this immediately (Saturday noon). I called Mr. Hollands twice for emergency service (BTW: I am a paid member of their Generator Premium Maintenance Program - whatever that gets me). Never received a call back from them. Later that night (9:30pm) several circuits in my house went out. I went down to the transfer switch and could hear the arcing and smelled burning plastic. I called their emergency number again and they said I was scheduled for a service call on Monday morning. I replied this is an emergency and should not wait for Monday morning. Needless to say, I have not heard back from them. I’ve always been happy with them when purchasing and installing their products. The one time that I really needed them. They failed me.

Feels like a scam to me. They overcharge and send out a kid that knows nothing. All they want is that nonrefundable trip change. $500 for a toilet rebuild and didnt say they would have to order the parts until after my wife agreed. Went to menards and fixed same day. Called for refund of the deposit they made my wife put down (not the trip charge). They lied and said my refund was in process. It wasn't I waited another 2 weeks before I called again. The final call the lady said we just processed it you should get it shortly. I asked her what happened last time. She said it was never processed. They were just hoping id forget about my money. Terrible service. 1 star isn't low enough for them.

I paid 610 for a simple drain clearing! This is very high compared to others. I only did it due to not wanting to lose my 89 inspection fee. Then a drain camera view for them not to clear the drain but to then offer hydro clearing. Which would be for tougher jobs(not this). A hole big enough to run a camera through for 610! A whole rip off! I have to add after seeing the estimate they want to charge 2400 for a hydro clearing and a bottle of root x! I can’t believe this.

Extremely dissatisfied by the predatory pricing. Technician did a good job, but to charge $1176.33 for 2 hours work (on a Saturday) to replace parts (mixer cartridge, handle and trim plate) that cost between $100-150 is outrageous. And then to do this to a 87 year old woman on top of it. The reason we had to wait until Saturday (which cost an extra $110 trip charge) was they could not fit us in before that even though I called at 9am on Thursday. I can never recommend them for this predatory behavior.

Matt Morrissey and Bo were so professional, very knowledgeable, thorough, kind, and personable.
I appreciate the compassion they showed for my situation as well as helping me understand how certain components worked and providing me with photos and proof of what they were finding. Unfortunately, we do need a new furnace and as painful as that is, working with them and Greg made the process that much easier. I sincerely appreciate the patience they showed to me and my situation and allowing me to ask questions and not feel stupid about it. I’m always nervous when men enter my home but they we so comforting that I forgot my worries. It is also very much appreciated that they were both animal lovers. Thank you both again for coming out quickly and trying to give me the bad news (about needing a new furnace) in a compassionate and understanding way way.
