  Chad did a great job installing my new water softener! He was personable, professional and highly skilled - and he got the job done quickly and efficiently. Upon completion he explained (to me) how to operate my new system. This positive experience reinforced my trust in Guthrie & Frey Water Conditioning. They have always been there for me.

  My opinion of this company has changed dramatically over the past 24 hours. Due to some miscommunication, misunderstandings, and mistakes, I had originally given a 2-star review, but after hearing from one of the owners, I'm giving 5 stars. (Sue, I know I told you on the phone that I would never be able to, in good conscience, give 5 stars, but I really appreciate your willingness to make things right. You earned these 5 stars.) I was incredibly impressed by the low-pressure, no gimmicks salesman who originally came to test our water and explain what they could do for us. I was equally impressed by the guy who installed the new water softener and got rid of our old one. He was fast, friendly, and left our basement at least as clean as he found it. The issue came when we tried to pay off the water softener and were met with conflicting information and poor communication, but I now feel confident that they are making steps to resolve that. So, at the end of the day, I am more than happy to recommend this business. Those who run it seem to really care about doing a good job and standing by their work. Sue, thanks for calling me today and working through the problems. You got your 5 stars from me after all! :D

  Thank you, Dan L. @ Guthrie and Frey — Ya’ gotta love it when skilled tradesmen arrive when they said they’d arrive and do what they said they’d do, AND call to give you a heads up when they’re on their way. On top of that, explain in understandable terms, what’s happening and what should be done to correct it. I appreciate, and thank, Dan/Guthrie and Frey.

  Had a great experience getting my iron curtain serviced. Peyton was very nice and professional, explained everything in detail that needed attention, gave me post service instructions that I understood and treated my house with respect and care. No doubt I will be utilizing their services in the future!

  The technician did not put the softener where we wanted it. I gave him a pan to put the cylinder in but instead he chose to cutout the carpet without permission. Then he forced the drain tube in our drain pushing the furnace drain tube to link and making the furnace not run correctly. I had to call the furnace company to fix but they couldn’t do a proper job as I had to call a plumber to put an extra trap in for the water softener and they also moved the softener for me. I had emailed the sales rep but he ignored me. So no I would not recommend you folks. Your customers obviously don’t mean anything to you once the service is complete 2/24/2026 We were contacted last week and a compromise has been worked out between us. Our salesperson had been on vacation which is why he hadn’t got back to us.they have worked out a fair settlement with us
