Woke up at 2 am hearing our furnace firing up and shutting down for the rest of the night. I called my service man at 645 am and he arrived at 730. Cool! Then he gave me the bad news...the gas valve needs to be replaced. I said OK, do it. That's when my eyes bugged out. The cost of the valve was over a thousand bucks and would be a day or two to get it. He made arrangements for his super to come out and give me a bid for a new furnace which would also be 2 to 3 days out. After he left I started calling other hvac services and finally Black Haak told me they could get the valve that day and have it installed by mid afternoon. They came out within the hour and did a no charge diagnostic to confirm the repair. They concurred and gave me the same bad news. The difference, they gave me the option to replace the pricy valve or replace the almost 30 year old furnace that day. I chose the new furnace and could not be happier with the service. Brian and Josh were fantastic. They were here by 1130 am and gone at 330 pm. Professional, courteous and full clean up etc. I now have a new vacation service team.

Recently, we experienced 50* below zero temps. Remember that? And luckily, I, the homeowner, missed it all because I was in Florida. But you know who didn't miss it? My boyfriend, my cats, and my 3 aquariums. And guess what, the furnace stopped working on the coldest day. Of course.
Our regular furnace guy wasn't available. I told my boyfriend to call Black-Haak because I had heard his things about them. Because I was the homeowner, Black-Haak worked with me over the phone. Not only were they going to make it out to help same day, but also, they called my boyfriend (with my permission), and walked him through a sort of "reboot" for the furnace.
It worked! The furnace started working again. Black-Haak kept in contact with us every few hours to ensure that the reboot was still working. It ended up that we never needed that service call AT ALL - and they never charged me a dime.
Old furnace guy - OUT. Black-Haak is IN for any future needs. They are good people.

Had an issue with a toilet not flushing properly. Went to website, which was extremely easy to navigate and schedule an appointment. They followed up with a call shortly after, offering to have someone come out same day if it worked for us(this was a Friday). The person I spoke to on the phone was knowledgeable and super helpful.
Mario arrived a couple hours after my initial call. He was polite, courteous, professional, honest, respectful, and clearly knowledgeable. He had our problem figured out right away, and his explanation was perfect for me to understand. He then gave me options for a solution, which all made sense and were perfectly reasonable. I was also able to also get his thoughts on another small plumbing project we are looking at for our home.
Service charge, in our opinion, was perfectly reasonable and we had zero issues paying it. We are probably going to end up saving that amount, or more, due to the advice given to us anyway.
We will absolutely be calling Black Haak for future plumbing work. 100% satisfied and met all our expectations. Every single person I dealt with was amazing. To me, Black Haak is a "treat the customer well and do quality work to get customers" type of business.

Thank you Blackhaak Heating. I am having issues as a result of a too large of a furnace for my duct-work installed four years ago. After calling Blackhaak and talking with Amanda we set up an appointment for a technician, Nick, to come out. He was great to talk with. He was very professional and knowledgeable. He looked over the furnace and duct-work, took measurements and offered suggestions which would allow the furnace to operate more efficiently and effectively within the parameters of the furnace. The cost of these options was nothing close to the $6k-$16k quotes I had previously received from the original installer of the furnace. Upon deciding on a course of action, within three days Brian and Andy arrived to make the modifications and additions to the duct-work. They were very skilled and efficient. They finished the tasks within the stated time and left a clean area behind them. Lastly, Mark and Cooper came in to install the plumbing on the AprilAire unit. They were also very professional and skilled in their work.
Thank you to all of you for making the adjustments and additions to the furnace and duct-work go so smoothly. From the ladies in the office to the gentlemen in the field, everyone was polite, professional and knowledgeable. I would recommend Blackhaak Heating for your needs.

2-18-2026- So - I am updating my post - the people that have come to do the work have been excellent that has never been the issue. They are all very knowledgeable and professional and have cleaned up after every job. The communication has been the biggest issue - but that has also improved after I spoke to the office and let them know that no one called us back and we were overnight with no heat upstairs. The company is great at being able to address multiple issues and they have honest and fair pricing. I can and would recommend them - but just know you need to keep up with communications and make sure everyone is on the same page. They have definitely worked hard to get everything back on track.
2-17-2026 - They came to put in 3 new furnaces and left without setting the thermostat that runs the heat up where we are living. They also didn't seem to communicate very well what was going on or convey how to work the new units. We have multiple jobs going on and spending a lot of money - yet communication has been very poor. My priorities of why we called in the first place have still not been resolved. Considering all the great reviews and high praise - I have not had that great of an experience. Truly disappointed overall. The guys that did the initial electrical work were great - but the scheduling and getting everything done has been quite frustrating. And not having heat and being told someone would get right back with us only to call 2 hours later and have the person not know we had called earlier left me a bit confused too. Hopefully we get the heat working before the morning.
