  I was referred to Nicolet by an electrician, and I'm very glad he told me to call them. I called Monday morning at 715am, they had Jesse at my place by 945 or so. He was able to fix the boiler ignitor switch within 30 minutes and a couple hours later our house was back up to 70 degrees, after 3-4 days of being in the high 50s/low60s. Jesse suggested I replace the ignitor switch because it was old. He explained everything and was a very nice, down to earth guy who never treated me like I was dumb. I was so pleased with their service I called back later in the day to schedule them to fix the boiler and do our yearly maintenance, and they were there Wednesday morning and had us up and running with a new switch by 11am. Plus they didn't charge us for Monday's fix since we went with them for the fix and yearly maintenance. Their prices are fair, and their service is impeccable. After hearing Jesse talk about the owner Lief and what he's done to help his employees, I also knew this was a company that cares about their employees just as much as their customers. Will be using them in the future.

  Perhaps I’m biased because I personally know the owner. Trust and honesty are as important as product, price and service. Nicolet HC does a fantastic job at a very fair price. I had top tier Ruud heat pump, and gas furnace installed. No sales gimmicks, pressure tactics or unnecessary repairs.

  Installers were great. Showed up on time and were respectful of our home. Took time with us to explain the functions of the heating and A/C systems

  I hate to give a negative review but our experience has been terrible. They came last summer to put in a new unit for us. We immediately began having issues with it and they came out repeatedly to fix the problem, only for it to not work again a day or two later. They said there was an error report it was sending that they had never seen before. We were told that besides a balance issue, the problem was fixed, however come winter it was clear that was not the case. The system was still not working effectively. Another company come out and looked at the system, immediately finding issues, including with work done by Nicolet. We sent Nicolet the report and they came over pretty quickly to look at the system. We were called with some findings, and told they would email over a report shortly. That was 2 months ago. We have since called and emailed multiple times and have been completely ghosted. We are a small-medium nonprofit and this has significantly affected our ability to serve the community. First, our building has gone up into the 80s on hot summer days and down into the low 50s on cold winter days- leading to many complaints from clientele and having to cancel events. We have had to tell families during family class to bring blankets with them in winter to try and stay warm. Our bill from two years ago to this past year (pre- the work done by Nicolet and post the work done by Nicolet) has also more than doubled! The systems in ineffectively running 24/7 in the extreme temperatures causing our bill to be outrageous and for money that we would much prefer use to serve the communities having to go to pay the extra heating/AC costs instead- only to have the building sit at 50 degrees, our suite neighbors pipes to freeze, and to need to wear coats and blankets in our facility. The lack of support/solutions initially, and now the complete lack of communication has been so frustrating. At this point I could never recommend Nicolet Heating and Cooling to anyone.
