The pricing for the window job was reasonable, and the installation team completed the work efficiently, finishing seven windows in approximately 1.5 hours. However, the estimator did not include the necessary aluminum flashing repair in the original quote. During the quote, I inquired about our older storm windows and if this would be a problem. The estimator told me it would not be an issue. As a result, after installation, there is a visible ring of exposed wood around the window, and the existing aluminum flashing is lifted and no longer meets the window properly. The company has since provided an additional quote for the flashing repair, which is expected to cost approximately $1,400. This added expense was not accounted for when we compared estimates from other competitors, creating an unexpected and significant increase in the total project cost.

It is also advisable to remove all wall decorations from the walls close to the windows as they may fall during removal or installation.
How long will it take to get my replacement windows? How much time should I allow for the installation?
Since every window ordered is custom-built to fit your home and design choices, manufacturing times vary. Once delivered, the type of window being installed and the type being removed help determine the amount of time needed to complete the job. On average, each window takes about 30 minutes. Trim work and cleanup will require additional time to complete. An average job will take a single day.
