  Not enough stars for the crew at Northern Lakes Marine ;-) Issues with my (small) motor today, Jeff and crew went above and beyond to get our family on the lake (witnessed many more customers they were going out of their way to help). SUPER appreciate the small town service and FANTASTIC experience!! Thanks again!

  Called in with boat motor troubles, popped in to drop boat off same day thinking it would be there a while. When we arrived they trouble shooted and fixed for us immediately! In and out in 20 minutes and off to the lake. Amazing customer service! Very fair pricing! So glad to have found them. Highly recommend and we will be using them for any future help needed.

  I am writing to express my disappointment with the service I recently received from Northern​ Lakes Marine. Last fall, I brought my pontoon boat in for routine maintenance, including spark plug replacement, water impeller service, and an oil change. I also opted for your storage package, which I understood to include a spring start-up and drop-off service. When my boat was delivered​ Early April, I was looking forward to our first outing of the season. However, I encountered significant issues starting the engine. It was unusually difficult to get it running, and it would not maintain an idle. I contacted Northern ​Lakes Marine to request a service visit to diagnose the problem, as I suspected it wasn't firing on all cylinders. One of my calls I spoke with a mechanic and he agreed with my assessment. Despite several follow-up calls, I was repeatedly told that your team was too busy to come out and inspect the engine. I also reminded your staff that I had paid for a tune-up and a package that included a pre-delivery start-up, which clearly had not been performed. The only response I received was an apology. Ultimately, I had to hire another mechanic who quickly identified and resolved the issue. It turned out that the spark plug wires had been incorrectly placed. My boat is now running smoothly, as it has for the past ten years. Given my experience, I cannot recommend Northern Lakes Marine for service due to the apparent lack of attention to detail and the inability to address issues even after payment for services that were not adequately completed.
