Not having heat was not ideal. After some issues with another company I called HJ Faust. Will came to our house on the early end of the appointment window. He looked at the unit and was done fixing everything within an hour or so. Professionals from start to finish. Thank you for helping my family through an already difficult time.

He was very knowledgeable and answered several questions I had for him. Also cleaned up after his work was done (which can be an issue with some firms). Overall, a very good experience. I would highly recommend H. J. Faust and Jeff as your technician.

Colin presented Faust’s maintenance program to me, for both furnace and air conditioning units, which was a “no-brainer” to purchase too; which includes upcoming annual preventative maintenance visits, which I have neglected for years. (This is/was not a “rip-off-like” auto rust protection program. LOL, IMO.) Thanks!
- CBchad bDec 5, 20251.0I recently called Faust to fix my furnace when it quit working and extremely cold temps were on the way. I couldn’t be at the appointment so I had my father be there to let the tech in to examine the furnace. I left a detailed note explaining that the code from the furnace was the limit switch but the problem occurred when the limit switch was installed and when it was bypassed. The tech looked at the furnace, made sure there was no obstructions to air flow and said it’s most likely the limit switch. Despite my better judgement I thought, “ok, maybe he knows something I don’t” and I waited 3 days for the switch to arrive. I installed the new switch and had the same problem. I figured this would be the case since the furnace would not work whether the switch was inline or bypassed. I called Faust back to ask if they would charge me another diagnostic fee to come back out since the tech had never really addressed the issue and I was told that in fact they WOULD charge me again. At this point I decided to cut my losses and go elsewhere. I called another company that came out within 3 hours from Racine. Their tech went through and tested each switch and safety in the furnace and determined there were no issues. Then he followed the wiring to the main harness and discovered a wire that was making a poor connection in the harness. He fixed the connection and BINGO - we have heat. I understand things can happen but I did not receive a thorough diagnostic from Faust on their first trip and I definitely should not be charged a second time to do the job I asked to be done the first time I was charged. If a proper diagnostic was done the first time the tech would have found the issue much like the other company did.
