Absolutely exceptional work. We have a century-old Victorian with a high roof and lots of crannies. The Fox Roofing crew tackled the entire job in less than three days, working almost nonstop despite the number of challenges the job presented. The crew worked hard and was conscientious every step of the way, plus being friendly and cheerful. I recommend Fox Roofing without a moment's hesitation!

Fox Roofing did an excellent job on my roof. The crew was professional, showed up on time, and worked efficiently from start to finish. They explained the process clearly, answered all my questions, and made sure everything was done right. The quality of the work looks great and they left the area clean when they finished. I’d definitely recommend Fox Roofing to anyone looking for reliable and professional roofing work.

Fox had given us a quote last summer on our gutters. They called again recently saying they could do even better than the first quote. So we said yes, we'd be open to another quote.
Mike came out this evening and was helping us. Things went south really quickly. All of a sudden it turned into we were working on a contract at our dining room table when all we wanted was another quote. When we realized and started making clear we were not purchasing anything this evening the attitude changed. He had his boss Cameron on the phone and they were both making us very uncomfortable.
Mike, if you want to do sales there are so many companies out there where you don't have to do slime ball tactics or be in on them to get a sale. Go to work for a good company. Looking at the Google reviews before mine, this one is definitely not it my friend.
We are going to have our gutters replaced, they are in desperate need. But the tactics that were just used on us in our own home definitely cost you this job.
Do quality work, be quality people. That's where the money is at and that is how you get business.

Mike Schwartz reviewed our roof for replacement potential and was congenial, honest, and matter of fact with the assessment and options. Communications around scheduling the appointment could use improvement.
Frequently Asked Questions About Fox Roofing & Exteriors
How do I know if I need a new roof?
A. Shingle Problems
• Curling, buckling, missing, or cracked shingles.
• Granules in gutters, indicating worn shingles.
B. Leaks and Water Damage
• Water stains on ceilings/walls.
• Sagging roof or mold growth from moisture.
C. Age and Roof Structure
• Roof age of 20-25 years.
• Sunlight visible through roof boards in the attic.
D. Flashing and Valleys
• Damaged flashing around chimneys or vents.
• Worn valleys where water flows off the roof.
Should I repair or replace the roof?
Deciding whether to repair or replace your roof depends on several factors. Here’s how to determine the best course of action:
A. Extent of Damage
• Minor damage (repair): If the damage is limited to a small area (e.g., a few missing or damaged shingles), repairs may be sufficient for the short term. However, it could indicate signs of potentially bigger problems in the future.
• Widespread damage (replace): If there is extensive damage, like many missing shingles, large leaks, or structural issues, a replacement is likely necessary.
B. Age of the Roof
• Under 15 years old (repair): If your roof is relatively new and in good overall condition, repairing damaged sections is typically more cost-effective.
• 20+ years old (replace): Roofs near the end of their lifespan (20–25 years for asphalt shingles) should be replaced rather than repaired.
C. Cost Comparison
• Repair is less expensive: Repairs are usually cheaper for isolated issues, but if repairs become frequent, they add up.
• Replacement is cost-effective long-term: If repair costs are approaching or exceeding 50% of the cost of a new roof, replacement is the better investment.
D. Underlying Problems
• No underlying damage (repair): If leaks or damage are superficial and there’s no sign of structural issues or rot, repairs should suffice.
• Rot or structural damage (replace): If the roof deck, insulation, or supports are compromised, replacing the roof is often necessary to prevent further issues. In general, if damage is minimal or the roof is relatively new, repairs may be adequate. For older roofs or extensive damage, a replacement is the smarter option. A professional inspection can give you a clearer recommendation based on your specific situation.
What factors determine the cost of a new roof?
The cost of a new roof depends on several factors, including the size of your home, the type of roofing materials, the pitch of the roof, the number of layers, and the complexity of the installation. Additional factors, such as local labor rates, permits, and any necessary underlayment or ventilation upgrades, can also affect the overall cost. To get a personalized estimate, we recommend scheduling a consultation with Fox Roofing.
What is the cost of installing new windows?
The cost of installing new windows varies depending on the size, type, and material of the windows. For a more accurate estimate, we recommend scheduling a free consultation with Fox Roofing.
What type of windows should I choose for my home?
The best window type depends on your home’s style, climate, and personal preferences. At Fox Roofing, we offer a variety of options, including double-hung, casement, and bay windows, to fit your needs.
How energy-efficient are these windows?
Our windows are designed with energy efficiency in mind, featuring options that meet Energy Star standards. New windows can help improve insulation, reduce drafts, and lower your energy bills.
What are the best types of siding for my home?
The best siding depends on your home’s architectural style, climate, and maintenance preferences. Popular options include vinyl, fiber cement, and wood, each offering different benefits in terms of durability, appearance, and upkeep. Fiber cement has been shown to be the best long-term investment.
How long does the new siding installation take?
The time required for siding installation varies depending on the size of your home and the type of siding chosen. On average, it can take anywhere from a few days to a couple of weeks.
How do I maintain my new siding?
Siding maintenance depends on the material. Vinyl siding requires occasional cleaning, while wood siding may need painting or staining over time. Regular inspections and cleaning can help prolong the life of your siding.
