Adam, Greg, Cassie and crew... thank you all very much for the final result of our massive project. The new retaining wall and railing are BEAUTIFUL and very well built. Thank you for working with us on this project and making sure we are happy with the final result. Thank you Eric for working with us to figure out how to make the best outcome with this process. Vulcan does beautiful work, they work very hard and most importantly they care about making sure their customers are happy with the finished product. Thank you for everything, I would recommend your company and would use your services again.

Update: Jamie reached out and he has offered to help with trying to make a difference in my lasting impression of his company and team. He is definitely trying to make things better. He values his company and the work they do. Update #2 Jamie scheduled the inspection for me. It’s been a year since the project finished. That gave my husband and I time to recreate the pathway which covers the dirt to prevent erosion. So our inspection passed! Jamie has offered to submit the permit for phase two. He has been very helpful and assures me that his current crew is top notch. I have to say it’s been nice to start this relationship with a company. Update #3 Jamie might use his talents and resources to help out with a very important nonprofit organization. He has offered to find supplies and donate labor! We meet in a few days to work out the details! Terrible work, terrible communication. So many mistakes were made in the design and build. They built the wrong size deck. It’s smaller than planned and paid for, but they wouldn’t adjust the price. They had to rebuild the stairs and resurface the deck more than once after many asks to fix. The work each day wasn’t supervised and my husband and I felt like the project managers and traffic control because they kept blocking the street and driveways and/or parking under a no parking sign. We signed the contract in May but the project started after the rainy season started which led to our yard turning into a muddy mess. They said they could put plywood down but it was too late. The fountain ended up getting filled with mud, pallet of concrete bags left out in the rain uncovered, raw materials dropped all over. My dog could no longer safely exercise in the back yard which led to other issues. So stressful. The permit is still open more than a year later and the company ignores communication from the city. They left so many things unfinished. You will see in one picture that the downspout was disconnected for days which poured water directly into the crawlspace and triggered the sump pump that was never needed before. Impossible to sleep through the noise it made.

We had a space in our backyard leveled and stone pavers installed along with a built in curved bench for a firepit and planting bed. Also installed lighting in backyard and a stone stairway/pathway.

No personal experience as far as hiring them. I met the owners and was excited for my friend who put 5K down on a project 2 months ago. He has not been re-contacted. I have a potential project planned and was very interested in how Vulcan would handle my friend's 50K project. The results so far? Nothing, nada, no contact, no update, no customer service. From point of contract to now I don't think they rate 1 star but I had to click on a star to post this. Your results may vary but this is a true and personal experience. Vulcan, you lost my business too. It was only about a 25K project, peanuts to you? but not to me or my wife.
