When I discovered that the line from my house to the sewer was in need of repair, I reached out to three companies to get quotes. Not only was the Bob Larson team very knowledgeable and friendly, they also took the time to answer all of my questions. I’m so glad I selected them for my project. Royce was very communicative, professional, and nice! I’m happy to say that my experience was great, and now I’ve got my local go-to for any plumbing needs.

The Excellent (and Some Good) Anthony Chavarria performed a very high-quality job on the plumbing work. Everything looks visually good, and after three days, there are no leaks. He clearly possesses excellent technical skills as a plumber. Another positive aspect was that both my wife and I felt completely at ease and comfortable with Anthony in our home for the four hours he was here; he was professional and likable. This feeling of security is very important to us. The Extremely Crummy While the quality of work was good and Anthony was personable, the overall financial experience left me very angry and overshadowed the positive aspects of the service. I ended up not speaking with him for the final 1.5 hours he was at my home due to my anger over the pricing structure. Here is a breakdown of the pricing issues: Original Quote: Anthony quoted me $1,331 for the initial job. I was unhappy with this price, as I knew the materials cost roughly $50. This meant about $1,280 in labor for approximately 2.5 hours of work, equating to roughly $512 per hour. While I understand I'm paying for expertise and company overhead, that rate seemed excessively high. I reluctantly agreed because I needed the job done. The "Bigger Problem" and the Furious Upset: After starting work, Anthony discovered the cold water supply line was completely clogged. He suggested a solution: cutting a small, 39-inch piece of sheetrock in an adjacent closet wall and tying into the nearby toilet supply line. This seemed like a great, efficient idea that might take an hour of labor and minimal supplies. This is where things took a turn for the worse. Anthony quoted an additional $1,700 for this extra hour of work. In my estimation, this is an astronomical labor cost of around $1,700 per hour. I felt he was attempting to take advantage of the situation, assuming I was in a corner and would agree to the overcharge (what felt like a rip-off). I refused, saying it was far too much, and was ready to cancel the entire job and ask him to leave so I could hire someone else. The Negotiation and Final Price: After a pause, Anthony dropped the additional price to $990. I was fuming mad and stated that $500 was still high but the most I would pay. He eventually agreed to $492 plus tax for the extra work. The final total I paid was $1,873 for about $100 in materials and less than 4 hours of total labor. Summary The final cost was far too expensive, and the initial attempt to charge $1,700 for a simple fix felt incredibly dishonest. Honesty is a value I hold extremely high. When Anthony (or his company's pricing model) quoted an obvious, inflated overcharge, I lost all trust. The positive experience with the quality of the work and his professional demeanor was entirely undermined by the company's predatory pricing practices. I would not hire this company again based on the financial experience.

Technician David Sutton Came over promptly to evaluate a Tankless Water Heater with a small leak with the Heat Exchanger and a Circulation Pump intermittent issue. He spent the time with the manufacturer to not only determine the exact cause, but verified that the Heat Exchanger was still covered under warranty and was able to obtain a new exchanger and the control circuit board for the circulation pump. He promptly provided a reasonable quote for the labor to install the parts. I will look forward to him completing the repair when the parts arrive.

We found out through Roto Rooter that we needed a partial sewer main replacement due to roots growing in our sewer main pipe that caused blockages and the pipe to separate which turned into a emergency roto rooter wanted to charge us $20,000 to replace 4ft of pipe and to put a liner in that we did not need. I called several places to get a quote and Bob Larsons plumbing had the best prices ($6,500)and Ben Chavarria from the company also said I needed a permit which was a plus to me. Ben was very nice and explained everything to us and was very thorough and he paid a lot of attention to details. If we have any problems with plumbing in the future we will definitely be calling Bob Larsons FIRST and never again will we call Roto Rooter! Thank you Ben Chavarria for a job well done.
