Michael Dillman of Windy Ridge Home Inspections is a highly experienced and knowledgeable home inspector. His inspections are thorough, methodical, and clearly communicated. Michael has a strong ability to evaluate a property’s systems, structure, and overall condition while explaining his findings in a way that is practical and easy to understand. His professionalism and depth of experience make him a trusted resource during the inspection process. I appreciate working with inspectors who bring this level of expertise and attention to detail.

Mike missed multiple critical infrastructure failures that have since caused severe damage and financial hardship.
After purchasing the home, we discovered old, crumbling sewer and drain pipes that led to sewage backups, collapsed drainage lines, and repeated flooding of the lower level. The pipes are so deteriorated in places that they have essentially turned to debris.
There are also visible cracks in the concrete along the foundation walls and exterior, as well as failed drains running from the home to the street, none of which were properly identified or emphasized in the inspection report.
These are not hidden issues. They are serious, systemic problems that should have been flagged clearly so we could make an informed decision or negotiate repairs.
We relied on this inspection to protect us as buyers, and it did not. Based on our experience, we cannot recommend this inspector.

Never in my life of purchasing homes could I previously give a 5 star review to home inspectors. Every last one of them was ALWAYS in a hurry, and had to remind me about needing to rush off to the next house. They've overlooked, spent too little time and charged exhorbitant fees on houses I've then regretted buying. I put out a call on social media regarding a recommendation, as I went through three that brought unsatisfactory results. Enter the relatively new one in town, a former fireman who really knows his home safety stuff. Michael Dillman, owner of Windy Ridge Inspections, cares far more about his work ethic than cramming in bookings. I'm still in shock over the time he spent there and the level of detail in his report. May I also mentioned he charged me less and did far more than any previous inspector? He came highly recommended, and that's a tough feat. I was still skeptical until he showed up and went to town. He went over important points with me the day of, answered my questions, called me again before sending the report. Sixty seven pages of information, with the extra important safety issues explained both in person and on the report. I'm still mulling over whether or not to buy, but I can tell you this. Michael Dillman of Windy Ridge, I'm so grateful for your services, patience, diligence and character. A true rarity in these times

I'd like to share my experience working with Mike—he's incredibly honest and thorough. Whether you're a homeowner, realtor, or contractor, I highly recommend his services. Additionally, Mike is also a mold detection specialist and can assist with those issues, considering how common mold problems are in our area. On top of that, Mike also handles pest control. If you need reliable and honest service, don't hesitate to reach out to Mike—he's your go-to guy!
