  Mike missed multiple critical infrastructure failures that have since caused severe damage and financial hardship. After purchasing the home, we discovered old, crumbling sewer and drain pipes that led to sewage backups, collapsed drainage lines, and repeated flooding of the lower level. The pipes are so deteriorated in places that they have essentially turned to debris. There are also visible cracks in the concrete along the foundation walls and exterior, as well as failed drains running from the home to the street, none of which were properly identified or emphasized in the inspection report. These are not hidden issues. They are serious, systemic problems that should have been flagged clearly so we could make an informed decision or negotiate repairs. We relied on this inspection to protect us as buyers, and it did not. Based on our experience, we cannot recommend this inspector.

  I met Michael at one of my job sites and was impressed with his attention to detail and the way he communicated with my customer. Less than a week later, I hired him personally to perform a pre-remodel inspection. He sends out a pre-inspection checklist ahead of time, along with a realistic timeline and expectation list so you can plan your day accordingly. His reports are thorough and include photos, which makes them a huge benefit. For me as a GC, it’s added protection—everything is documented clearly, and my customers can also use the report as a Home Maintenance Reminder, which is especially valuable here on the Peninsula.

  Michael did an amazing job! He left no stone unturned and the report included detailed pictures and descriptions of everything. He spent multiple hours going through every inch of the home. Not only is he very thorough he explained everything to us very well. Windy Ridge Home Inspection is the best in town!
