Surprises always come up during construction, but communication was clear and they always made things right. Worth every penny!
- EWElisa WoodApr 16, 20255.0We hired TBH Sterling for a major kitchen+ remodel in November, which included structural changes, a small bump out, new deck and stairs, new bedroom carpet, hardwood floor refinishing, and knob and tube removal and rewire on the main floor. It was a huge project we knew we’d have to do when we bought the house nearly 5 years ago and TBH Sterling proved to be the best team for this job. We’d heard nightmare stories from friends and family about working with contractors on remodels, but that was 100% NOT our experience with TBH. While we hope we don’t need to do another major remodel, we would recommend TBH Sterling to anyone without hesitation. We started working with Wes probably 2 years ago, but had to delay our project due to a work layoff. Wes periodically checked in on us until we were ready to proceed. Wes’ communication with us was our first impression of TBH and gave us a lot of optimism for how things would go generally with TBH. After the design phase, we worked with Collin during construction. We had weekly meetings but even beyond that, Collin was really wonderful, friendly, communicative, and patient. Everyone TBH hired - whether in-house like Collin and Jeremy or subcontractors - for the work was excellent in remodeling our home, were respectful of our time and space since we were living in our basement during the remodel, and the craftsmanship itself is superb. Collin really excelled at managing our 5-month construction journey together. We don’t anticipate TBH returning to fix anything, but their 7-year warranty is pretty generous and gives us peace of mind that they will stand by their work in hopes that they will not need to return. We also appreciated that when delays happened due to weather or miscommunications, TBH owned them and made it right, ultimately completing the project more or less on time and 100% within budget. We’re thrilled with the finished product (it’s gorgeous!) and look forward to many years enjoying our remodeled home together, thanks to TBH and their skilled, diligent work.
