  Our kitchen sink backed up and the sinks in our master bathroom were draining really slowly, so I called Yelm Plumbing and Pumps. They were able to send a plumber out the same day. The company called to let me know when the plumber was on his way. When he arrived he put paper booties over his shoes so he wouldn't track dirt in the house, which I appreciated. He fixed both the kitchen and bathroom sinks and left us with a product to use and put down our drains regularly to avoid the problem in the future (we're on a septic system). The only reason I'm not giving them five stars is because they charge a $79 fee just to show up, and the total bill was nearly $500 for about 20 minutes of work which I thought was outrageous.

  I had a leaking, aged water heater that barely allowed for a single warm shower. I had scheduled with another company (frogger), who did not show to install a new water heater. I called around and Yelm plumbing and pumps llc said they could install one, even one I had bought myself. I locally purchased a new water heater and two days later Brian from Yelm plumbing arrived on time with a huge smile and installed the water heater. Brian was very professional and had done a very neat and quick install of the water heater, he was also great to talk to when there was time, he seems a great person in general. We are extremely happy with the service we received and now have plenty of hot water. Thank you Brian and Yelm plumbing!

  Brian Sanchez did an awesome job for us today. We had a home inspection done and a small leak was found under our tub pea trap. Brian found the source of the leak was the overflow in the tub being loose and fixed it quickly and professionaly. He was friendly and knowledgeable. I would recomnend using Yelm Plumbing and Pump for all of your plumbing needs! Thank you Brian for your help today.

  Yelm Plumbing & Pumps (formerly A+ Services). New business name, but at same location as A+ Services. Are they any different? Please beware. A+ Services had poor reviews on Google. Below is my review of A+ Services posted on Oct 2014: Beware, beware, beware...4x over-priced and shoddy work that creates repeat failures. Find a local plumber instead. See my detailed story below. Oct 2010 A+ Services was called to repair water leak between my water meter and home. It was a fountain in the middle of my yard so I was desperate and called A+ Services since they were close by my home. I was looking for quick service and wasn't as concerned about cost at the time. When repair was complete I was charged $1100. Wasn't at all happy about that price tag, but leak was fixed so I moved on, thankful crisis was over. Fast forward to present, Oct 2014. I have another water leak between my water meter and home. Called A+ Services about warranty and they said that only lasts for 1 year. They scheduled me for 12-6pm appointment slot the following day. After waiting at home all day for technician to arrive, they finally arrived at 5:30pm and wanted to do the work the next day. When I asked to them to quote the work, he asked me how much they charged last time...I said $1100. The technician said that sounded about right. He also mentioned things like "Lacey city water is so corrosive these days with all the additives" as possible reason for repeat leak. After hearing outrageous price and BS about corrosive city water (that I drink every day), and fact he wasn't even ready to provide a repair, I told him no thanks. He then proceeded to tell me no one could do it for less and he could waive the call response for me this one time. Still no thanks. Called a local Olympia plumber to perform the repairs. 2 hours later, water leak was repaired for roughly $300 parts and labor. Not only that, but there was serious concerns about A+ Service workmanship on Oct 2010 repair. The cause of my current leak was brass fitting failure from previous repair. The entire fitting had cracked down the side. When Olympia plumber took it apart he pointed out that there was way too much teflon tape applied (6-7x wraps around the pipe), which was too tight on a brass fitting and why it eventually cracked under constant strain. So not only was previous service nearly 4x more costly, but repair was shoddy. I don't know if they did it on purpose (create repeat business) or just didn't know what they were doing (I didn't check each persons' license...I assumed all were licensed from A+ Services). I hope others can learn from my experience and stay the heck away from A+ Services.
