I've seen them install windows in all types of siding (brick and mortar, wood, vinyl siding) with the end-product looking and feeling completely professional. The install teams are personable and intentional, never did I feel like they were taking shortcuts or compromising quality. Did mistakes happen? Sure, that's inevitable with complex window installations in old structures (and one of our buildings was VERY old, built in 1910!), but Window World went above and beyond in correcting them and ensuring the final product was exactly what they promised it would be.

- KSK. S.Oct 15, 20222.0Plumes of saw dust covered my living room until I insisted they do a better job of containing it as they cut out original windows. They stapled plastic in 8 places around each window. It left holes and chipped paint when they ripped it down. Installer used leaf blower to clean up before caulk was dry and imbedded pine needles into caulk. Installer left excess cut marks in my wood siding without sealing or repairing them. Installers left before sealing basement window with spray foam as agreed so the supervisor had to come back to do it.. AND they knocked over a walkway light under one of the windows, basically ripping it out of the ground, and blatantly denied it! They didn’t even offer a reduction in price for the carnage they reaped on my home. Survey at end of service was not confidential as the installer stood next to me as I filled it out. Sloppy work - I would not recommend.

Do you install replacement windows year-round? If so, will I lose a lot of heat/cooling at the time of installation?
Window World installs replacement windows year-round. An average installation will take only one day. Our crews install one window at a time and are trained to do what they can to minimize heating/cooling loss. The energy savings from your new windows will recover any incremental energy costs incurred during their installation many times over during their lifetime.
How can I prepare my house for my replacement windows?
Please take down curtains, blinds, or any other window treatments. Security sensors should also be removed and turned off by your security company. Please provide our installation expert with a clear path to the window(s) being replaced by moving anything that may be in the way. It is also advisable to remove all wall decorations from the walls close to the windows as they may fall during removal or installation.
How long will it take to get my replacement windows? How much time should I allow for the installation?
Since every window ordered is custom-built to fit your home and design choices, manufacturing times vary. Once delivered, the type of window being installed and the type being removed help determine the amount of time needed to complete the job. On average, each window takes about 30 minutes. Trim work and cleanup will require additional time to complete. An average job will take a single day.
What type of warranty is available for my windows?

What happens to my old windows?
After installing your new replacement windows we remove all old windows from your property and dispose of them properly. If you wish to keep your old windows or storm windows, please notify the installation crew as soon as it arrives for your installation.

Most of the issues encountered by our customers are easily corrected and don't necessarily mean that there is a problem with your window. You are always welcome to contact us for help.
