  Ballard Doesn’t Stand Behind the Quality of their Work. My furnace stopped working efficiently over the holidays. Then it just stopped. I called Ballard Natural Gas out to fix it. I paid the diagnostic fee … he informed me that it was an electrician issue (after about 5 mins). He called his office to see if an electrician could come out. They couldn’t make it until Tuesday (also during the call with the office he was trying to fix his schedule to have Friday off….so he may have been distracted). I called another company to get an electrician in, after about a minute he informed me the furnace tech had the furnace set to off. At that point I question the quality of Ballard Natural Gas diagnosis’. I think trying the on/off switch should be step one. I had the new company look at my furnace and solve the issue. I ask Ballard for a refund since the diagnostic was so poor. They said no.

  I had an annual furnace check-up with Austin and he was great. He efficiently and thoroughly checked my Lennox gas furnace and gave me tips for maintenance over the next year. He also fully informed me on options for electric heat pumps I may replace the furnace with in the future.

  Had a panel upgrade scheduled to install a new panel of 200A with a generator hookup and interlock kit. The installation itself took almost 12 hours and our heat pump was not connected for over 24hrs. Additionally, the panel that was installed was a 125A although the installer clearly told me that the panel would be 200A and the main breaker would be 125A. The panel itself also broke during install and has a open breaker slot that cannot be used. Have left several messages but no one seems to be getting back to me about this issue.

  Very frustrated with our recent experience with Ballard Natural Gas. We were charged a $350 diagnostic fee, far higher than other fireplace-specific companies we later found out that charge around $99. The proposed repair of $700 would have brought the total cost to about $1,000, not waiving the diagnostic fee. In the end, the issue was a simple switch that needed to be turned on, which we fixed ourselves. No repair was required. Paying $350 for an incorrect diagnosis and being quoted hundreds more for a problem that did not exist was extremely disappointing, especially since we had a great experience with them back in 2018 for the mini-split installation and trusted the company.

  We recently hired Ballard Natural Gas to install a new HVAC system including all the ducting and vents in our new but old home in Olympia area. From start to finish BNG were wonderful and we are very happy with the outcome and the constant heat throughout our house. The initial consultant/salesperson, Tony, was very helpful, showed us how the whole process would go and gave us a very good estimate. Zoe and Caliegh, worked to get the admin & permits, they were very responsive and helpful. The entire crew from Clinton, the project manager, DJ the Electrician, and especially the two install technicians, Brady and Cole they did an awesome job. Brady and Cole were here for 4 days and they were on time, worked very hard, knew what they were doing and cleaned up every day before they left. All the permits have been signed off and both inspectors said that they did a very profession install with quality work. Thank you BNG for a great job!
