  Very good customer service and communication, competitive pricing and job well done. The only complaint is perhaps on my part, not understanding a heat pump runs most of the time. So the blower will often go for an hour+. The service people were professional and helpful in explaining the system.

  Had a new furnace and 2 splits installed today and it couldn’t have went more smoothly. I was a little nervous about the job, but Jay, Anthony, Nick and electrician D.J. were all wonderful to work with and very knowledgeable and confident in their skills. They even found a less intrusive way to do part of the job that worked out great. Very nice crew, and Ashley and Zoe and the rest of office staff are equally friendly and very responsive. Been a costumer for years for repairs and maintenance, and with this first major purchase would definitely continue to recommend them - great company.

  Ballard Natural Gas installed a full mini-split system with ceiling cassette units throughout our 1930 brick Tudor remodel in Seattle. Even with our plaster cove ceilings, everything looks great and was thoughtfully installed. Major remodels can be stressful and HVAC is a big investment; this team was kind, responsive, and worked with me on details along the way. Other trades even commented on how much better they were than HVAC companies they’ve worked with before. Huge thanks to Tyler, Clinton, Cole, Brady, and Zoe.

  We knew our tankless gas hot water heater was on its last legs; it ran into errors all the time leaving us with no hot water frequently, and it was LOUD. I got a fast, very reasonable quote from Tyler at Ballard Natural Gas Service. The quote that he sent me was thorough, but he still made time to discuss the nuts and bolts over the phone. I really appreciated that he answered so many of my questions and really put my mind at ease - we got conflicting quotes and ideas from other plumbers, but Tyler talked me through the logistics, codes, and everything we'd need to consider when selecting a replacement. He seemed really trustworthy from the jump. I also appreciated that BNGS is local, and has been in business for 30+ years. After agreeing to their quote, I worked with Project Coordinator Zoe who helped us book the installation, and discussed financing options with me. She was also super thorough and lightning fast. And finally, our installer Jay showed up on time and replaced our unit with an upgraded version. He was super fast and efficient, and answered my questions before he left. He made sure to lay down tarps to keep our space clean, and his workmanship was wonderful. It's been a few days with our new unit and it's been quite cold at night... and I wish we had done this upgrade sooner! Ballard Natural Gas made it a smooth and fast experience, and their quote was very reasonable compared to other businesses in Seattle. If you need tankless system maintenance or replacements, I'd recommend BNGS!

  Scheduled estimate date and time. Estimator showed up at a different time, then told our landscaping and construction crews onsite that they would give the client a discount to have construction and landscaping employees do all the hard labor digging for them instead of just bidding what we requested. Estimator agreed to quote to installing 75ft long gas line underground. I spoke to estimator and he agreed to send a quote for whole job and a quote for having us dig for him but we only got one quote. Estimator only sent half the bid for gas line with out any trench digging labor included so we requested a proper bid again by phone including all scopes of work. I then followed up 3 times and still we never received it; so of course we hired a more professional company. No big deal, still a 4 star company from my previous experiences....... What causes a 2 star review was after all this, Ballard Natural Gas employee Zoe contacted me 6 separate times asking if we would hire them and each time Zoe was told the job was already completed, by a competitor because we never got the full estimate we requested multiple times.... This is more unprofessional issues with this company.... I thought it was finally over after repeating myself 6 times that the job is done but then at 7am in the morning Zoe text messages me again, today asking if we are hiring them or not again. I reply to "please stop texting us". Zoe does not stop. I get another text at 8am and reply "Stop texting us!" But Zoe does not stop, she texts me again at 8:31am defensive and lying rebuttals. I decided at this point the unprofessionalism is immature and not worth my time so I text her "PLEASE STOP" and had to block their number. Ballard Gas employee Zoe was a terrible experience. We have had Ballard Natural Gas service our clients and customers and our businesses have also sub contracted them for over 50-60 jobs for over 20 years until this experience. Their quote was also double the price of highest of 5 gas company quotes our clients received. In the end, we had a competitor do it for around 30% the cost of Ballard Natural Gas quote and we had no estimate issues and no rude communication issues so the job is done. I really hope Ballard Natural Gas stops contacting us this time......
