- SKsteve kimDec 22, 20251.0I called and asked the receptionist if the company repaired gas fireplaces and she said she needed to have someone call me back, and while waiting I looked thru their website and saw that fireplace repairs were within their scope of business and that an appointment could be made online and the price of the initial visit was stated. Then I got a text back from Shawn who confirmed they could do the repair and quoted me a higher price for the diagnostic visit. When I asked about the online price, he said the company had raised prices some time ago but had not gotten to changing their website yet. First red flag. We booked a time window for the visit the next day, Friday, and got an email confirmation. But then the next day, we get a different time window by text, but since we were still available, we decided to just keep it. The day of the appointment, the technician calls and says he wants to change the time because he wasnt feeling well. Since we had arranged our work schedule to be available for this day, we ask if he felt well enough to come right away and look at the fireplace and he said ok. He never came and we get a new text that an appointment had been made for Monday without consulting us beforehand. Another red flag. Since I was free most of Monday, we decided to just keep the time window, but on Monday, we get another text pushing out the time window to later in the day. We had an appointment for early evening which we couldn't miss so we decided to just cancel the appointment because the company kept changing the times, but when we attempted to do so, we get a threat that we will be charged for a same day cancellation. This is ridiculous. I would not do business with this company.

He worked on it for a couple hours and gave very sincere feedback. So need a follow up visit. Fingers crossed the issue can be resolved. And my place is in Snoqualmie Pass so I appreciate braving the weather and dicey road conditions.
