During the remodel, we added an extra door late in the project, and Ron was able to quickly add it to the order and still get it delivered on time, which helped keep our schedule on track. I solicited bids from a couple of lumber yards - BFS bid came in higher than their competition so I gave them a courtesy call to let them know I was going with their competition. The GM asked me if I would be willing to share the bid I got from their competition. I said sure and sent it over. I got a call back from the GM who explained to me that he had gone through the other bid and compared it item by item and discovered some major discrepancies. Missing the entire 2nd floor sheeting was just one of the major items that he identified as missing. Once the missing items were included the bids we much closer. I was so impressed by the manager’s willingness to invest that much time in analyzing the bids and his attention to detail that I decided to go with Builder’s First Source. This turned out to be a very good choice for me. I worked with nearly all of the employees over the years and they provided excellent advice when needed, I received great customer service, and unexpectedly, warm friendships developed with the staff. I’ve done business with BFS now for over 10 years. I would never consider making a change because I know how well they have taken care of me. I am now starting a new build in a different state and was surprised and appreciative that the management in Gig Harbor offered to introduce me to the manager of the local lumber yard where we are building. I KNOW I am well taken care of at Builder’s First Source and I trust them with my projects.
