If you don’t like being a mechanic on someone else’s equipment don’t rent here. The manager Brian must have been promoted out of desperation or nepotism.

- SCStuart CarukOct 22, 20181.0I'm a local contractor with lots of equipment. One of our Bobcat Brushcat rotary mowers went out, so I called last Friday to arrange to rent one for Monday Morning. I told them I just wanted to rent the mower and was quoted a price of $215 for the day, just slightly above the industry average. (Bobcat is $200 a day, but they are further away for reference). When I showed up Monday morning to pick up the equipment, they wanted to charge me $354 for the day. I asked why the difference and they told me that the $215 price was with the machine rental. Of course, they didn't have any skid steers available to rent at any rate. I only ever asked for the mower deck rental, and was quoted $215 for the day. A company should really honor their quoted price, not try some bait and switch tactic when they feel they have you backed in a corner. Instead, I'll wait until my new gearbox arrives and fix mine. Power Rents has forever lost me as a customer. Clearly it's no longer the good old S & I Rentals.
