  How many years before replacing and what is done with the bad panels? It's not truly green until you invest in the recycling of those, the same as batteries.

  I used GMS to replace the solar on my house this past year, and Casey and the installation crew were lovely- Transparent, easy to work with and schedule with, and fit us in as soon as they could. I highly recommend them!

  In January of 2026 Green Mountain Solar organized the installation of a Tesla Powerwall in my Vermont home basement as backup for the frequent power outages I have in my rather rural area. The project team which for me included the original site visit person/advisor Ian Veralli, who concluded that I was an appropriate candidate for this Powerwall system, the person in South Burlington who kept in touch with me during the entire process, Nicole Pastore, the Green Mountain Power contact/exterior pole designer Matthew Kittredge, the installation scheduler Raenor Lakin, the installers from Granite State Solar, Josh and his crew, even the Tesla battery delivery person, were all extremely kind, thorough, and communicative during the entire process.
