- DBDiane Brown2 days ago1.0My desire to replace windows and screens that needed annual winter caulking and rolled up towels to decrease cold drafts overrode my caution in signing the contract with Window World of the Green Mountains for replacements. The windows seem okay but it is hard to tell because of the poor installation in November 2025. I am in the middle of a 6-week waiting period for a decision-maker to assess multiple problems. In the meantime, not only am I back to the annual tasks of now winterizing NEW windows with caulk and rolled up towels, there is also the added task of mopping up windowsills because rain/snow water no longer drains properly. (I checked the "Overpriced" description because this has cost over $11K for13 windows & screens and there are now have more problems than before). I will update this comment when (and if) these issues are resolved by Window World within a reasonable amount of time.

The level of professionalism and quality work was top notch, and we are still in awe of the amount of work that was done in just 4.5 days. It was a cold and snowy week, so I was a bit nervous about having this job (which also included enlarging our master bedroom window) completed in December - but it ended up being the best decision. We noticed an immediate improvement in the heating efficiency in our home immediately! We have a few follow-up things to deal with (stress fracture in one window and storm door install) and Sally has been excellent at communicating about the timing of these things. I would 100% recommend Window World to everyone who is thinking of replacing windows and doors. Also added bonus of everyone in the neighborhood commenting on how great things look!

There was some wood rot under the old HEAVY slider and they did a great job replacing the rotted area with freshly cut wood. The Team worked well together and communicated well. They always went out of their way to answer any questions we may have had. These guys had a knack for attention to detail. These guys took a great amount of pride in their work. Steve always kept us informed of any updates for the project and was always considerate and respectful. On several occasions Logan and Nate would work with the Gold team. At the Window World office, Sally coordinated with us, the Gold team, and the suppliers to make sure everything ran smooth on the job site. As a result, our home looks absolutely stunning. We are very happy with the finished product. As a matter of fact, I've been recommending Window World to several of my neighbors who have stopped by to admire Window World's exemplary products and workmanship.

Window World installs replacement windows year-round. An average installation will take only one day. Our crews install one window at a time and are trained to do what they can to minimize heating/cooling loss. The energy savings from your new windows will recover any incremental energy costs incurred during their installation many times over during their lifetime.
How can I prepare my house for my replacement windows?
Please take down curtains, blinds, or any other window treatments. Security sensors should also be removed and turned off by your security company. Please provide our installation expert with a clear path to the window(s) being replaced by moving anything that may be in the way. It is also advisable to remove all wall decorations from the walls close to the windows as they may fall during removal or installation.
How long will it take to get my replacement windows? How much time should I allow for the installation?
Generally, replacement windows can be installed within 4-8 weeks from the date that the final measurements are taken. The type of window being installed and type being removed help determine the amount of time needed to complete the job. On average each window takes about 30 minutes. Trim work and cleanup will require additional time to complete. An average job will take a single day.
