  I have used Voity Electrical twice in the last several years. Living in Vermont, you're always wary of trades people who will either not get the job done, or never call back. This outfit has been the most professional, helpful, and reasonable. Not only did my technician this time, Sam (who also worked with me last time), get the job done quickly and efficiently, he also had time to talk me through what he was doing and explain to me how everything worked. If I ever need an electrician in southern Vermont, I call Voity.

  This is honestly the first review of a business I have ever written online, however I feel that my experience with Voity Electrical, their billing practices, and customer service warranted a review so that if you choose to work with them you will know what to expect. First off, I have no complaints with the quality of the work or the timeliness in which it was completed, both of these aspects of the experience were satisfactory. The journeyman and his apprentice were on time and appear to have done good work. The difficulty comes with the bill and the business office. This was originally billed as a master electrician job as the master felt that it was required. This morning of the job he and a journeyman arrived and the master now stated that he was not required and that the journey man would do the work. I have no issue with this, however I did expect to then not pay for a master. Voity did not independently change this on the bill and only did so after I brought it do their attention. Additionally, at no point during our phone conversations or on the invoice itself was the job described as anything other than a time and materials quote, and as such this is what I expected. We had discussed parts that would be necessary to complete the job including breakers, new combination meter junction box, additional junction box, grounding rod, 25' of copper, 2 sticks of 3" pvc pipe, and I'm not sure what else because the business refused to supply a materials list. I was present for the work being done and supplied and installed a new power pedestal that was installed in the exact same location as the old one. Because I was present I noticed that they did not install a new ground rod, did not use the 3" pvc, any new copper, or the extra junction box as they apparently were not necessary. When I emailed to ask for a materials list I was told that "we don't itemize individual parts", despite obviously having a list as items from it were previously discussed. I sent another email asking for clarification and received no response. I called a few days later and was promptly gaslit, with the business claiming that I was now nickle and diming them, that I had changed the scope of work by moving the pedestal position, and that this discussion "was not worth the time", that they had expected an easy "hand-shake deal", and was hung up on. The business attempted to compare their billing practices to a hospital in that you don't have any say over what is billed. I work in healthcare and know that requesting an itemized bill is never met with the type of avoidant and gaslighting behavior that I experienced. The business did eventually credit me for some of the parts not used. I will not be doing business with Voity Electrical again.

  I've had Voity do work on both my home and the business that I manage. Their office is transparent and easy to work with and every technician that I have dealt with in the field has been professional while still being easy to talk to. Can not recommend them enough

  I am “shockingly grateful” that we discovered Voity. They are simply the best home service company (electrical, plumbing, heating, etc.) I’ve ever worked with. They are friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient—and they respond immediately. They have my HIGHEST recommendation.
