  We had a wonderful experience building our custom home with Southern Trace Builders. From start to finish, they were excellent communicators—always keeping us informed, answering our questions quickly, and making sure we felt confident in every decision along the way. The quality of the finished product truly speaks for itself. The craftsmanship, attention to detail, and overall execution exceeded our expectations. You can tell they genuinely care about delivering a great home, not just completing a project. Warren was especially helpful throughout the entire process. He was patient, knowledgeable, and always willing to go the extra mile to make sure everything went smoothly. Having someone so responsive and supportive made the custom home building experience much less stressful. We’re so happy with our home and would absolutely recommend Southern Trace Builders to anyone looking to build.

  Southern Trace remodeled our bathroom and replaced our roof. Quick, reliable, and great communicators! They helped us work with insurance for our roof replacement. I’m so thankful for a friendly and professional local company! Thank you Southern Trace!

  We worked with Southern Trace for about 18 months on a contract we were quoted 6-8 weeks for, on a $150,000 basement build. The company was a complete wreck of contractors, subcontractors, managers, project leads all not communicating between them, and undoing each other’s work. The crew was not respectful, and made me feel unsafe in my home, alone with these men. After they received their final payment installment, it took threatening a lawsuit to get them to finish. They caused flooding in my basement, and they did enough damage to our basement HVAC that we’ve now had to spend $45,000 for a whole new furnace, and heat pump. They stole materials and other things from our home- all our workshop lights (which were returned 3 months later once we told them they’d have to replace them), our Titan Fitness wooden storage system (never was returned) and it disappeared after the dumpster skip was already gone! It would have taken at least two people to carry this thing! They stole it from under our deck; it was our outdoor patio furniture storage! Give it BACK. We had some cameras on the workers after they dry-walled and painted over 2 light fixtures and the whole house WATER MAIN shutoff valve… but it wasn’t enough to keep them on track, or sticky fingers to themselves! We had to hire another company to fix the plumbing. A word of warning. They tried to pit husband against wife; telling us different information, to the point that I had to get my parents involved to come support me and watch them as they worked. Several contractors they worked with on our build (Freedom air) will no longer work with them because of their unprofessional behavior. Then, they had the nerve to try to take photos of our home, which I swiftly shut right down. This is NOT a Woman-Owned or operated business!!!

  I had an excellent experience with this company from start to finish. They were extremely efficient, completed the project on schedule, and paid close attention to every detail. Most importantly, they truly listened to my needs and made sure every expectation was met. The craftsmanship and professionalism exceeded my expectations. I couldn’t be happier with our new home and highly recommend them!
