  I booked my appointment on ahort notice. Matthew did my kitchen sink disconnect and reconnect and faucet install for my counter replacement. He communicated his arrival times and was really knowledgeable. He shared a lot of helpful info. I was very pleased with my service!

  We have had a dripping sound in our powder room for long. Tom helped me schedule the appointment for the same day in a friendly, patient and effective manner. Jarrett came here to help detect if there was a leak. He tried different ways and explained each one of them to me. Finally we agreed there was no leak but a possible HVAC condensation problem. He was kind, very professional, knowledgeable and thorough. I’ll definitely use their services in the future and can’t recommend them enough!

  We would like to take a moment to thank Ryan Van Horn for responding to a problem we had with water pressure. Ryan was able to rule out several possibilities that could cause this issue, and decided to collaborate with Mathew another plumber who had extensive knowledge in diagnosing well pumps. Both of them arrived early the following morning, investigated, diagnosed, and located the source of our problem… the well pump was failing. They immediately drove into town, and returned quickly and got to work. By 1:00 PM we were up and running again. These guys were patient in explaining along the way everything they were doing and why, and in addition provided options for us along the way. We felt in control of each step of the process. Thank guys again for a great job! Thom and Tracie .

  Originally posted a 2 star review after a water heater fix that should have taken one visit took 3 visits instead. A Michael and Sons manager got in contact with me and made things right. The main technician we worked with was a pleasure to have in our home, took his time explaining things to us, and was highly knowledgeable. Mistakes do happen and we appreciate the accountability to make it up the customer.

  I called Michael & Son to conduct a quick HVAC check as the seasons change and as I was calling, they offered to have an electrician come out as well free of charge. The HVAC technician was Kevin who checked the heating and did a good job providing an email of their inspection. A very straightforward job which is appreciated The Electrical technician, Jason, helped address some important electrical work that needed to get done. After scheduling another appointment and with them taking care of the permit, Jason and his ride along Jamey ended up upgrading my rusted breaker box to a new one with additional space, replaced questionable breakers I had, added a surge protector, boosted my amps from 100 to 150 amps, grounded my house including my water heater, and installed a new overhead meter base with what looks to be an emergency disconnection box. This ended up taking an all day job for around $5,500. After a few days there was some confusion about the meter not being installed in the new box as I can't recall if the team called Dominion Energy already to get the meter in it's new box or if I was responsible for it but customer service is figuring that out. Besides that uncertainty that will get resolved soon, I feel like it was a perfect job which gives me a peace of mind as electrical work scares me. Each technician let me know their estimated time of arrival with each visit, were kind and professional, and gave a good explanation of what work was recommended to be done, the options I had, and the time frame that was needed. They were all very respectable people and had me feeling comfortable with them working in my home. They also provided some financing options with Wells Fargo which included a waived interest fee if paid off within a year which was appreciated as I preferred to have the electrical work addressed immediately. Overall, a good experience with Michael & Son
