  This company is amazing! We had a bad leak with one of our hydrant pumps & they had a technician out within the hour. Lee was professional, knowledgeable, & had a new hydrant installed in no time. I highly recommended Just Better Home Services.

  Tyler contacted me early and came and fixed my problem with my sink leaking. He was very thorough and told me all of my choices and explained all the charges. He was super nice and easy to talk to. I'll call him if I have any other plumbing issues for sure! Tyler is the best!

  First experience with Just Better Home Services and was extremely pleased with Michaels professionalism and He was prepared with parts needed..courteous... efficient...and he shared info about the plumbing repairs.   I have a type of plumbing that is known as Quest which is prone to bursting. I have experienced flooding from such bursting . In order to prevent future plumbing floods I wanted to have an automatic leak detector- and water shutoff installed. I chose the Moen Flo Water Monitoring and Leak Detector System. The system automatically shuts the water off if a Leak is detected. A tech name Wesley came to give me an estimate the day after I called the Company. I approved the installation and as he had the unit on his truck he Installed the unit in about two hours. All is now well. Wesley was very pleasant to work with. He was neat and proficient. I highly recommend Just Better Home Services.

  Wherever they found Lee, I told them they are looking in the right place. Lee was highly skilled in fixing 2 significant plumbing issues in one afternoon, one small and one large. This is in a very old, large, historic building on a higher floor, where the plumbing issues are as historic as the building itself, like using regular steel (non-stainless) on plumbing parts. The equipment he installed looks to be a top of the line with all the correct, modern engineered alloys and materials. I am a professional engineer/ novice mechanic of sorts, but plumbing is is a serious profession for a good reason. Especially for historic, one-off, regional buildings with multiple floors, historic plumbing, and with liabilities. This required a professional level of skill and experience. He accepted my help in providing my own tools, stacks of towels, Ajax to help with the smells, measuring a gasket ID, and scrubbing everything down (walls, floor under the toilet) with Ajax afterwards that had not been cleaned for probably 50 years. The first problem was a water valve leak in the bathtub/shower combo. It was not an "emergency" since the water was dripping straight into the tub, (this is *not* an apartment building), however, it's a problem that needs to be addressed. The other was a toilet that had become unseated due to bolts being rusted out. The leaking water valve turned out to be a simple fix - just a single gasket that had disintegrated. Luckily another plumber who happened to be on site that day happened to have the exact gasket on hand, which saved a 45 minute trip for parts, and he put it the faucet assembly back together before I could even see him finish. He accepted my help confirming the dimensions with a digital caliper. The second problem, which turned turned out to be much more involved and labor intensive, was a broken wax ring / seal kit on the toilet sewage connection. The bolts holding the toilet to the gasket had rusted away completely, and I would guess the entire flange had rusted away (didn't get a good look, but saw a lot of rusty bits coming out), which allowed the toilet to wobble and become unseated. He had to cut out some tile to fit a larger gasket with 6 bolts instead of a pile of the pieces of rust that came out, clearly the right thing to do here. He did the backbreaking work of lifting the toilet into the bathtub and back, so he could have space to work, (in retrospect, it would have been easier to move the toilet to another room, but that takes quite a bit more preparation). He also mentioned that the lead liner (old school plumbing) is something many plumbers install incorrectly because they don't properly shape the lead liner to the seal kit and piping (old school plumbing) and I guess it ends up without a proper interface and you end up with the same problem if the toilet ever moves slightly. He just wacked it a few times with the back end of an adjustable spanner and turned it into a nice smooth surface for the wax to sit on. Long and short, these were two repairs that required a professional of his level, especially the toilet repair. Turns out he also has experience in pneumatics and pipe fitting with high level mechanics experience. He seems like the type of guy who can fix just about anything to do with pipes. Great experience and finally peace of mind.
