Woodfin has a put a MASSIVE damper on our week buying a new home. The previous owner had a Woodfin service contract for HVAC, oil and whole home generator that we planned to continue with but we are APPALLED by the way they have treated us as brand new customers. The way they operate their different business segments with 0 communication amongst them is appalling. Cannot recommend against them enough.
The only positive thing I have to say is their technicians Ethan and Chris were both very pleasant and knowledgeable.

First time using Woodfin and it was handled poorly.
On January 21, Woodfin notified me of a billing error. The authorized amount was $393.80, but due to a clerical mistake an extra “3” was added and $3,933.80 was withdrawn from my bank account, overdrawing my account.
I was told the funds would be available the next day, which did not happen. As of January 23, the money has not been returned. A promised follow-up call never occurred, and I was told the issue was now between me and my bank despite the error originating with Woodfin.
Because my account remains overdrawn, I have been unable to prepare for a severe storm forecasted for this weekend, creating unnecessary financial and safety concerns.
Mistakes happen. Lack of urgency, communication, and accountability should not.
I am documenting this and seeking reimbursement for all resulting fees and damages.

Larry came out on a snowy Sunday evening made an accurate diagnosis on our furnace A part would have to be ordered and checked on the following day.. Paid 139 . Found out our maintenance plan had expired without my knowledge found out later it was sent out by emails which I never check. Should have been a phone call or by mail, but I did renew the maintenance agreement the next day.Larry Left and came back an hour and a half later and surprised us-with 2 space heaters for us to use. I thought that was very, very nice of him and beyond job duties.He was also very polite and gentlemanly.. He can come back anytime!

Zach Fendey was incredible. Personable, informative, honest, and flexible. Helped me prioritize which projects to do without trying to influence, gave me options, and educated me on what tasks can be done by myself and which ones need professional help.
Turned a routine inspection into improving our long term plumbing health and increased our quality of life with a few fixes.

Anthony provided *outstanding* service.
The back story here is, we'd been without hot water for 18 days going into today. Our tankless water heater just stopped doing the heating thing on December 12. With visitors coming in the next day, we needed immediate help, and found only one company with availability on that short notice.
17 days later, that company had still not gotten the heater fixed, with very poor communication and just terrible overall service. I called Woodfin yesterday afternoon, and they sent Anthony out to see us this morning.
It was instantly clear that Anthony was very knowledgeable about our particular make/model - very much unlike the reps from that other company - and within literally fifteen minutes he had hot water temporarily restored. Within the first hour he had a specific diagnosis of the underlying problem. In another hour he'd located, obtained and installed the part needed for repair.
Throughout the shockingly quick process, Anthony kept us informed of what was going on, with clear explanations of related details.
All of this happened in one small part of one day, after weeks of hair-pulling with that other company - and for what totaled up to a fraction of the cost the first company quoted for repair.
I couldn't be more impressed with Anthony's work, and we'll never again make the mistake of using a heating/plumbing company not named Woodfin.
