We service and install air conditioners, heat pumps, mini-splits, furnaces, boilers, humidifiers, dehumidifiers, and air cleaners. We service all makes and models of heat pumps, air conditioners, furnaces, boilers, and indoor air quality equipment.Our Commercial Department specializes in commercial comfort systems and building automation systems. Our team of technicians service and install air conditioners, heat pumps, boilers, chillers, VAV systems, cooling towers, duct systems, ventilation systems, economizers, humidifiers, dehumidifiers, and air cleaners.Both our residential and commercial service departments offer a variety of preventive maintenance plans, from basic maintenance to full coverage including repair parts and labor. We also offer electrical and plumbing services, including wiring, upgrades, water heaters, backflow preventers, and medical gas piping.Our Energy Solutions Group is exploring all practical energy strategies that will make more and more sense for our clients as they seek clean, renewable, safe power that reduces our dependence on foreign oil.     My repair man, Mr. James Farrell was timely, courteous, professional, and comprehensive in repairing the bathroom tub facuet arrangement. Appreciate the heads up when leaving for my home then again when he got closer. Kept me informed with the options that changed as he explored the issues. Highly recommended.

    James did an absolutely amazing job. Hearing your hot water heater is busted on the 2nd day of the new year isn't ideal or how you want to start off. However, he was very efficient and professional and that helped lessen the blow. Within a couple of hours he had everything fixed and replaced. We are beyond grateful for his diligence and hard work. With a 1yr old at home, there is lots of laundry and dishes and it isn't really something we could go days without. We already used James River for our heating and air, but will definitely be using them for any plumbing needs we may have as well. 10 outta 10, we recommend!

    I’ve been a James River Air customer for years, and they always deliver excellent service. Recently, I had an issue with a stuck shower handle, and Joe, the technician, came out within days to help. The job turned out to be more complicated than expected — he had to replace old fixtures and access the pipes behind the wall — but Joe handled everything professionally and left the area clean and tidy. I really appreciate his hard work, dedication, and attention to detail!

    Scheduled routine maintenance check as part of service plan. It took 5 weeks to get an appointment even though i pay for the service plan that is supposed to give faster service but no big deal as it was not an emergency. Was told my window was 12-5 and that I was scheduled as one of the first people so called at 2:15 when no one had texted to update on the arrival time to verify as they have cancelled on me before. I was told the tech would definitely be there before 5pm. At 5pm still no word so spoke to customer service again who told me I shouldn't have been told they would be there by 5pm because they never schedule appointment blocks like that but that I was next on the list. At 5:30 I got a text with the name of my tech. By 8pm no one had shown up. I spoke to the same customer service rep who told me that it still showed I was next and she would contact the tech and call me back. By 9pm I had not heard from her or the tech so I called again to reschedule. She told me it would be 2 more days to reschedule not the next morning as one would hope when a company had failed so miserably. Not being able to take another full day off of work that day just in case they decide to show I am now having to wait another week to get on their schedule when i already have vacation planned. The same rep who told me they don't schedule in blocks then proceeded to offer me a choice of 8-12 or 12-5. Hoping to find a different company before then. This company does not stand by their maintenance plan. Their website says service is free if they are late...maybe not showing up at all is just their work around.

    Had a sewer main backup. Technicians did good, but they were supposed to look down the pipe with a camera as well because it was part of the original ticket description. They did not do this service. Also, on the day they showed up they were supposed to come out between 8 and 12, but the dispatch was rescheduled and the new technicians came several hours later and I was forced to take the whole day off when I shouldn't of had too, so their thing of if were late it's free is bullshit. They were supposed to come again after I contacted the office because they never ran the camera. I found out the day they were going to show up from the technician that they were going to charge me 250 dollars after already spending 760 for the snake and another 160 for a dispatch fee to plug up a pipe , so I declined. I contacted the office to speak to a Travis Riddle and was never contacted back. The supervisor never called me back and they seriously overcharged me with something someone probably could've done for less than 500. I will never use this company again. And again the Technicians were not the problem.
