I'm sharing my recent experience with Clodfelter's to inform others about the exorbitant charges for their parts and service.
Our furnace went out the week before Christmas '25. A call to Clodfelter's brought a technician in short order (appreciated) and within 5 min a diagnosis was made and a quote was given. Not knowing what a part should cost and needing a functional furnace, I signed off on the repair. The quote did not include the $89 service call fee (reasonable) for coming out. The technician went to the office, returned with the part and had it installed in 15 min. He was professional and courteous.
To make a long story short, for a $65 part and 20 min of labor I was presented a bill for $593! Apparently, they no longer charge by the hour but by whatever they think a certain repair should be "worth".
I appreciated the quick repair but feel the price for work done was at least 2x what is fair.
I've learned my expensive lesson and will look elsewhere in the future for maintenance and repairs.

They use a foreign overseas answering service. I was highly reccomended but the fact that they outsource to other countries I will not be using.

Called for first time to schedule appt. I got a confirmation and everything that they would be coming today and that someone would call prior to let me know they are on the way. I get a call and it was to tell me they are not coming. They asked if I wanted to reschedule. I have immediately lost trust and feel it would happen again if I rescheduled. So no thanks.

I am writing this as a review as well as an email because maybe it will expedite communication with Clodfelters.
October 7th Nicholas and another technician visited our house. This was for a routine maintenance visit. A few weeks before, it seemed our downstairs unit was not keeping up with the temperature we had it on. For example, we had it set on 72 deg F, we had it on cool, but the temperature was 74 to 75 degrees.
The downstairs unit was put in by Clodfelters in 2023.
Nicholas and the other tech let us know that the coil was broken. The cost to replace would be somewhere about $1,000.00. I cannot give you the exact cost because no write up was provided to me. He told me that he would be sending me an email that would provide the information that he gave me verbally so that I could look over it later. He also asked if I would like a manager to call me - I said yes. He and the other tech said "these coils break all the time" and we should turn our downstairs unit off as it was not working. Again, Nicholas told me that I would have an email sent detailing information and a manager would call me.
This visit occurred October 7th. I followed up with an email that day since no one had called me and I had not received an email. October 8th (Wed) and October 9th (Thursday) -- no communication from Clodfelters.
Finally, Thursday afternoon around 3:00 pm I called Clodfelters. Jennifer told me that someone would be in touch Thursday afternoon or Friday morning. No phone calls were received by you all until after 3:00 pm Friday October 10th. I attempted to return a phone call later at 6:00 but you are closed for the weekend. I was not able to answer your call around 3:00 pm as we had a family emergency.
I am absolutely blown away by the lack of customer service and support by your company. I have detailed what has happened above so all company members at Clodfelters are clear on what happened this past week.
We currently are going to be going into the weekend and next week without a working downstairs unit with no plan for repair. I look forward to hearing some kind of communication from you all.
