Kaylea was so helpful in helping us purchase our first home. She was very knowledgeable and kind. We love our new home and recommend Stanley Martin/Coalfield Station to our friends and family.

I dont live here, but I do reside in the apartments across the street. How many times I've almost gotten into an accident when I'm just trying to go to work. There are dozens of cars parked on the street illegally. Looks soooo tacky for such an expensive home!

STEER CLEAR FROM BUYING OR RENTING HERE. Stanley Martin has SUBPAR and UNETHICAL leadership overseeing this development. Their inexperience and unethical practices will result in THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS for homeowners to pay to repair mistakes made in the building process. If you value your sanity and money, do not purchase a home here or rent a home here. The quality of the building is literally atrocious and they will try to string you along the whole entire process until you eventually just give up and accept unacceptable quality or safely constructed Homes. Black mold throughout all of the walls that are not visible for an inspector to see, holes throughout beams because they put up dry wall or hide things during your walk through. The homeowners association community manager myStreet community has changed six times within 12 months due to how unorganized Stanley Martin is as they are the board of directors since less than 50% of this disgusting low quality neighborhood has not even been sold yet because people value their sanity and their money and know better than to purchase in here. The project management team the Stanley Martin supervisor for the Richmond area as well as the warranty department are all clowns and they do business by putting you through hell and hoping that you just give up and let them get away with anything that they refuse to do or are not knowledgeable on doing. I have purchased from Stanley Martin many times and this is by far the most unqualified group of people I’ve ever worked with in my life. EVERY OTHER NEW CONSTRUCTION IS BETTER QUALITY AND SAME PRICE. I KNOW THIS REVIEW WILL PROBABLY REDUCE MY HOME VALUE BUT I HAVE ETHICS AND A CONSCIOUS AND DO NOT EVER WANT ANYONE TO GO THROUGH WHAT MANY OF MY NEIGHBORS AND I HAVE GONE THROUGH. ALSO, STANLEY MARTIN IS REFUSING TO INSTALL STREET LIGHTS IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD OR LEVEL THE ROADS AND WILL IMPOSE A $20,000 ASSESSMENT ON ALL OWNERS FOR THE COSTS TO BE PUSHED ON TO US.

My family and I visited the two-story model today. When we walked in the sales person, Kaylea basically asked us “what did we want?” When I asked her for her name to start, I was still met with an aloofness. After asking her if there was an issue, she self-corrected. Whether she had an appointment or not, there is an appropriate way to engage with potential customers and/or those coming to the model to get more information about the community and the builder. Kudos to her realizing that her behavior was offensive which led to her opening the three-story Model for us to tour. Moving forward, be more welcoming when you have people coming in to visit your Model. There are dozens of builders who are erecting dozens of communities. The fact that someone took the time out of their day to visit your community, at the very least they should be met with professional courtesy. Providing a good customer experience should be the goal..always!

While I like everything else about my condo and the location, the parking situation is a complete deal breaker. Each unit comes with one (very small, not suitable for an SUV/truck) garage, and a driveway that fits one car. The only other option is street parking, there are no parking lots in the site plan. VDOT recently closed parking on one side of coalfield station ln, and will also on garland ln given the identical street width. Most units will have 2+ cars with one of them parking on the street. There are now dozens of cars parked illegally every night, out of necessity. The developer has no plans to address this issue, there is no room to add additional parking in the site plan. This situation is guaranteed to get worse over time, if you are considering buying here then budget for parking tickets. Do not assume visitor parking will be available.
