HVAC Contractor
Thanks so much for taking the time to look into Air Nerds as your last stop in searching for the right HVAC contractor. The owner, James Martin is a 3rd generation HVAC nerd. His father would take him on jobs when he was a kid and tear the work down - making James redo it if it was incorrect. Even in crawl spaces, where no one would see the work. Air Nerds believes in putting ourselves in the shoes of the homeowner who pays the bills. The owner's father taught him the value of honesty and hard work over high-pressure sales and rip-offs. When you choose Air Nerds you can rest assured that our highly skilled team of certified HVAC nerds will enter your home carrying tools and the same principles of business.

Both maintenance techs i've had were amazing -- *incredibly* courteous and certainly knowledgeable. Definitely air nerds. As a fellow nerd I loved how he broke down the system, fixes, etc. and was enthusiastic about it. I loved that I learned a little bit about my cooling system in the process from an actual tech, beyond what I'd researched before I called!
I also appreciate that they send along pictures with the invoice. For me this was helpful, because I like to Know The Things :-)
I did call around, and for this particular issue, it seemed to be no getting around the price we paid, so rating as reasonable for a TXV replacement, refrigerant refill, and maintenance!
Not going to lie, this isn't a five star because I had an issue the first time they did service that left a bad taste in my mouth (not with the techs), as there was a misunderstanding (to say the least, i'm going to leave it at that) with their method of payment. In fact, i still suggest they change the wording on their email invoice communication that suggests that payment is not necessarily required immediately (albeit promptly) if it is the case. So i was hesitant to even call them back for follow up service after the TXV I had went out again. I'm glad I did, 1) because it was a manufacturer issue that they took care of at no additional cost (save for some work after the return visit, which the tech was transparent about) 2) I really like the tech Allen Brown. Solid dude.

First time using Air Nerds and definitely will not be the last. This is a very professional company all the way from customer service to the HVAC technician (Allen B.) that came to my house to fix my heat and cooling. Allen was extremely knowledgeable, professional, friendly, and thoroughly answered all questions that I had. He explained what he was doing and why throughout the entire time he was at my house. My cooling and heat is working again and I now have a better understanding of my home’s HVAC system. I’ll be having Air Nerds doing service and maintenance for my home for years to come because of this positive experience!

James came to my place for a diagnostic inspection due to some recent issues with my HVAC system that I expected were going to result in some monster bills. He was very knowledgeable and talked me through the process as he was conducting his inspection, answered all of my questions, identified some minor issues that in aggregate were causing me issues, and was able to address them on the spot.
Although I was already confident that I was going to commit to an annual service plan, James’ professionalism further sealed the deal. I look forward to Air Nerds servicing my HVAC equipment going forward and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone else in need.
