- NNnDMSep 12, 20251.0If only you cared about the community when it is near sold and not just while it is a hot market. Unfortunately I will never buy another one of your properties while the community is under construction and maybe not even when finished. Ours is done in short pump near Richmond VA and there are plenty of things that should have been fixed but they just didn't care. Got our final paving in April 2025 and still have 20+ spaces with no lines among other things like dead trees, shrubs, and puddling water on finished paving.

- YMYana MimsJul 13, 20213.0I would rate the home buying and closing process a 3. We’re pretty organized and you have to be being a military family. We traveled from Tennessee to Virginia. However, when the closing date shifted last minute, everything we planned beforehand (traveling/accommodations moving company, internet setup, etc) also had to be. I blame that on their partner company, First Heritage Mortgage. Moreover, when we asked if the movers could at least place our furniture and appliances in the home the morning of closing (they picked them up from Tennessee the week before) we were told no from SM regional management. I think that may just be an issue living outside of a military area. The flexibility is pretty disappointing, especially when the potential owners aren’t at fault but luckily we’re buying vs renting. The team at West Broad Landing did a great job though. I’m happy to say that at least.

The Plans Stanley Martin Offers are truly designed with Customer Experiences in mind and they reflect all the "good" Features that most people like to be part of the house. I personally worked with Chris Chumley /Aly Maggard at Stanley Martin Glen Allen for my first Home. Chris understood my requirement/Budget Constraints; was extremely helpful in suggesting what would work for me. He was always available to provide me answers/directions and suggestions for any query I had in for him. I would recommend people to reach him for any help needed. Aly is the chief consultant in the Design Studio; she with her experience and knowledge of what works and what does not guided me in the confusion but happy process of picking the Color Scheme's/Floor Options to be part of my dream home. That is the good part; however I do want to mention that Stanley Martin has to vastly increase the number of options in the "Included in the Base Cost" in the Design Studio. I personally had extremely limited choices for picking Hardwood Floor/Carpet and most importantly Kitchen Cabinets. Over all I had a pleasant Experience but would suggest an immediate improvement on the Design Studio Included Options. Special Note for Future buyers - Please visit their Design Studio before your finalize on buying your home.
