Alex, the project supervisior, visited on a regular basis to ensure the project was proceeding on schedule, to answer any questions, and to ensure the quality of the work. The installers were friendly, neat, and took pride in their work. HGE also replaced the gutters in January. Again, an excellent job.
- RRRedskins1945Nov 12, 20251.0Siding estimate - told the guy at the start of our conversation- price per sq foot - that’s what matters. Told him based on local contractors- who we will now wait to use - that somewhere between $4-$12 dollars per square foot is where I wanted to land with $5 - $10 being my true target range. Told him total price needed to fall between 12k and 20k - 2155 sq ft size of our home. He stated numerous times that wouldn’t be an issue. Stood out in the cold with him for over and hour as the up sales came one after another. He came back with a price of 34k at $13.1 per square foot. Well that math doesn’t math and the real number was $15 per sq foot. He screwed that up. He said does this price sounds good and quickly went into - okay so that just the price for the siding, that doesn’t include the trim work we discussed. I stopped him and restated my desired price range, sq ft and overall cost - he tried to say I told him I was willing to pay $12-$18 per square foot- once correct again. I asked him to leave. Do not use this company. They will pull out fancy sheets claiming to show “averages” but please contact a local contractor. The averages they show are not for Va or your specific area - they are average across the south east region. His manager called to say that’s now how we do business and stated he would produce a revised quote with a discount attached. Guess what never happened… they do not stick to their word. Stay away from these predators

My gutters look wonderful and the guys did an excellent Job Garrett was really nice and knowledgeable and told me everything about the process of the project. Wasn,t pushy Home genius was so quick with scheduling Jackie was very nice and responsive to scheduling my gutters that it only took a couple days to from start to finish! Darryl the project manager was very cordial and sweet and made me feel comfortable with my new gutters and guards. Overall I'm very pleased and I would recommend home genius exteriors to all my family and friends!

The job was done with a few things unresolved. However in speaking to customer care and being paired with Rodney as my new project manager, he quickly resolved my concerns and delivered on everything that was promised. The crew led by Angel that came to add the finishing touches were polite, timely and did wonderful work. Every job can have speed bumps but it’s how you finish and I am pleasantly surprised with Rodney’s commitment to excellence. Thank you for ensuring my house looks beautiful!
