  Marlon was a fabulous plumber. We just bought a house that has been vacant for months with the water shut off. He helped us get working again and fixed a dozen minor issues. Top notch!

  We were very surprised by our poor experience with the scheduling side of Michael & Sons, which is why this is a two-star review. Both the HVAC and plumbing technicians themselves were excellent: knowledgeable, thorough, and made thoughtful recommendations without any pressure or upselling. We felt confident in their work. Where expectations fell short was with scheduling. I clearly explained that the primary purpose of the HVAC visit was to replace a UV bulb in an air scrubber (which they did not install), and I was never told this was against company policy. Instead, we were steered toward an HVAC inspection and offered a “no-charge” water heater inspection as a scheduling incentive. Once onsite, the HVAC technician was unaware of the air scrubber request and the plumbing technician initially attempted to charge us, despite what we were quoted. This left us feeling misled and questioning whether schedulers are incentivized to book services without fully disclosing limitations or costs. While the technician ultimately waived the plumbing fee, we received no follow-up from the company—only marketing emails for recurring maintenance. The disconnect between scheduling and service delivery was disappointing.

  Scarlett did a great job at assessing our issue and getting it repaired quickly. She was able to answer all of my questions and I feel confident with the work that was done. The pipe/valve we had issues with was in a very tight, awkward space behind a built-in cabinet in the cinder block corner of our basement, and she was able to get into the area for the repair with only a small (smaller than expected) part of the cabinet surrounding the pipe impacted. She left the area clean and tidy before showing me the finished project. Good communication, solid work product, and left as little trace as possible once the job was complete.

  After going through 3 different plumbers who attempted to fix my leaking pipe and replace my Roman tub faucet, Omar showed up with a can-do attitude. He thought outside of the box and fixed my problem. Omar was polite and professional! He showed me what the previous plumbers did wrong and came up with a plan to fix it. We’ll definitely be calling Omar back out for any other issues we may have!

  We had an excellent experience with Luis from Michael & Sons, and I can’t say enough good things about the service he provided. We recently purchased this home and, with two HVAC units, wanted a thorough evaluation to make sure everything was running efficiently and properly. From the moment Luis arrived, he was professional, courteous, and extremely knowledgeable. He took his time inspecting the units and explained everything clearly and in detail. We had several questions, and he answered every one patiently, making sure we fully understood how our systems work and what to expect moving forward. What really stood out was his honesty. Luis was very transparent about the condition of both units, explaining what was functioning well, what to keep an eye on, and what, if anything, might need attention in the future. He never tried to upsell unnecessary services and instead focused on providing straightforward, trustworthy information. His explanations were thorough and easy to understand, which we truly appreciated. Luis also went into detail about efficiency, maintenance, and best practices to keep both units running smoothly. Because of how confident we felt in his knowledge and integrity, we decided to sign up for Michael & Sons’ service maintenance plan. That decision was entirely based on the trust he built during this visit, not pressure or sales tactics. Overall, Luis was thorough, professional, and genuinely cared about making sure our systems were operating at their best. We highly recommend Luis and Michael & Sons to anyone looking for honest, knowledgeable, and dependable HVAC service. This was a great experience from start to finish, and we will absolutely be using them again!
